US Election 2020 Thread

A story on CNN saying that Trump and a DOJ lawyer plotted to oust the Acting AG and overturn the Georgia election result. Can anyone explain why all he so hellbent on getting the result overturned in Georgia? Even in the event that whatever persuasion or threats issued to Georgia's Secretary of State to have it overturned, that still would have only left it at 290-248, still well short of the necessary numbers required elsewhere.

Was he simply banking on gaining momentum from that and influencing/threatening other states?

Think so, yes. He was hoping for some sort of domino effect- good luck in getting somewhere like Pennsylvania to cave in...

He was trying to get the DoJ to support his lawsuits in all states and to ‘find’ evidence of fraud. As the top guy was resisting it he was going to fire him and install a patsy. However allegedly all the top DoJ officials held a conference call and agreed to resign if he did it, so he was talked down from it.

His great great grandparents on his mother's side and two great great grandparents on his fathers side. Irish my arse.

That's more than enough to get selected for the Republic of Ireland football team.

They love this shit the Americans. Concierge in Vegas found out we were scousers and said his family were Welsh having come to the States 'in the 1600s'.

My great grandfather was Danish, I've never, nor would I ever, lay claim to being Danish or having Danish root, nor would I go to a Danish bar and ask for a Heineken.

The Danes weren't driven from their land. That shit sticks in the head, still the only country in the western world with a smaller population than they had in the 1800s and all because of the British.

Working for the mad bastard in his final days seems to have been difficult.
