Shame Starmer didnt use a similar conciliatory approach with Corbyn but that's for a different thread so I'll leave it there.

There’s quite a difference in this case. The Bern didn’t put himself to the electorate in a General Election and get rejected. Maybe after 2017 but deffo not 2019.

If it was as simple as a GoFundMe, rather than needing Republican votes, this would reach its target in seconds. Losing the ability to run for office in 2024 was the only thing listed that I was aware of, but adding in all the rest, it's a no-brainer. If only! Let's hope it happens.

As well as not being able to run for office again, the biggest benefit by far would be stopping the massive drain on the public purse by having him charge exorbitant fees for Secret Service security detail to stay at Mar a lago or his hotel or anywhere else he owns.

I see Trump has taken to the @POTUS account to rant about Twitter but they have already been deleted haha.

It’s gonna be boring (in a good way) when that cunt is gone.

Don't worry, the USA will find ways to keep entertaining us (in a bad way).

Ah! What I’d give to be 20 again. It was 1978. I hopped on a plane in Wellington, NZ and flew to Sydney, Australia, with $50 bucks in my back pocket and an acoustic guitar - Hummingbird copy - that $50 had to keep me alive for a week, until I got my busking licence.

Seasick Steve over here. To be fair that sounds superb
