I know the GF is an echo chamber of sorts but I'm astonished how few people out there in the 'real world' are arsed. I don't think it's hyperbole to say this result will dictate the course of Western civilization and populism for a generation.

 

Imagine living in a society where everyone gives a flying fuck. Still, maybe that's how we ended up here.

It's funny that this even needed to be pointed out. Like why would Mexicans give a fuck about the plight of Cubans and vice versa. Same thing with lumping everyone with an Asian background together. The majority of people only vote for whoever they think can improve the life of their family on an individual level, not for the "greater good of Latinos", whatever that means. That's what the Republican Party understands and what the Democratic Party doesn't.
