I agree with the first verse, I give way to the honourable members.

This isn’t the best one out there but it’s the best I could find in a pinch. Check this out (if you give a fuck about broadening one’s horizons).

Then watch this video that colours the words so it’s easy to see what’s going on. This isn’t the best example of his rhyme schemes but he’s doing it whilst telling a story.

Then you might be able to better understand why these lot say the things they do about him.

I think Eminem is brilliant and did wonderful things for Rap, moving it forward when it started to get formulaic. His themes are much more varied than the typical "bang bang, hoe, n***a, gettin' paid" shit that preceded him.

But he's up against Marvin Gaye. The impact that Gaye had on music and African American society in general at that time cannot be overstated. "What's going on" is an absolute masterpiece of social commentary, carried by an amazing voice. It's still relevant today. Amazing artist. Here he is Acapella.

Which Marvin Gaye do you want to listen to?

The very finest mid-60s dance tunes? Pioneering, powerful and inspirational protest music? Sex-'em-up knicker-dropping soul?

There's got to be something there to float your boat.
