Anyone know why he left us for Spurs? I've heard it was to do with wanting a new challenge, and wanting to stake a claim for England number 1.

He says in that video the club posted, he was sat in the dressing room after the European Cup win and he expected the place to be bouncing but it was just another day at the office, so he felt he couldn't keep that level up and needed to step down a level.

They say it better than I ever could, that Ray Clemence is one of the reasons our club is such a special one all these years later. He was one of the foundation stones that so much of this club’s success was built on. Our feeling in this moment is of course overwhelmingly sadness, but it is also appreciation.”
