Trying out a new keyboard and one or two of the letters weren't responding. I had no idea that I had posted it. This is what I was going to post. Despite a couple of the sources quoted, it may explain why the transfer window has seen so little activity. For the hysteria ridden it doesn't mention any centre backs that we 'should' be signing.

One of the Liverpool sites just mentioned Saiss from Wolves, age 30 and out of contract in summer. Him, and get Subotic on a 5 month contract. Sorted. No idea what their like though.

Saïss is a great idea. He's got the experience and is the right height and has got plenty of minutes in him this season, so would be ready to go.

 

Subotic is going to be lacking match fitness and has just bombed in the Turkish League. It's probably like suggesting Sturridge if we had an attacking crisis.
