Yeah we going to sign him and give him 400k a week, then sign Mbappe and pay him 500k before contract extension for Salah, Mane, Alisson, Fabinho and Virg.

Oh and forgot to add Messi and Sergio Ramos are both coming on bosman deals too

Might let Milner go to balance the books

Odegaard's really talented, but apparently it's become very clear it's impossible for us to have technically gifted midfielders and we can only be successful with grafters who win second balls, so no go.

I think he is, he's understated quality.

Good at pressing the ball aswell. Good set pieces and can add to the much needed home grown players

I like that Ward Prowse at Southampton. Not sure if he is good enough to play for us, but he's a fine player.

Yeah, he’s excellent. And we might be due a free player with our Southampton buy 6, get 1 free loyalty card.

I fully expect to be linked to Mbappe, Sancho and Odegaard etc but end up with Sarr, Ward Prowse and Ben White etc. Not that arsed as long as Klopp is in on the deals. Reckon Odegaard could be a possibility though.

A week in the life of an Echo/LFC sports journalist:

"Liverpool have yet to open talks with x player due to the uncertainty of Covid 19"

"Liverpool unlikely to make any signings this January/Summer"

"There is no truth in the reports of Liverpool making an offer for x player"

"Liverpool will not be financially irresponsible and add to the squad this January"

"Academy star/player returning from injury or loan can save Liverpool millions"

"MBAPPE SIGNING CAN TAKE LIVERPOOL TO THE NEXT LEVEL"

I prefer the Mirror's coverage.

"Don Hutchison makes stunning LFC transfer claim, yes, he really went there."

I thought that changed years ago. That was true around the time mascherano joined Barca, but I thought they paid something like 45% and they've cut the loophole of offshoring image rights like in the UK, which makes them higher taxed than players here.

Phone ringing....

Southampton: (Ah fuck it's Liverpool - tight bastards) Hello

Liverpool: Hey guys, how's all on the lovely south coast. Great to talk to you again.

Southampton: Emmmm..yeah good to talk to you as well. Ehhhh how can we help you today?

Liverpool: We're here for our free James Ward Prowse and you might throw in the Danish lad from your defence as well for free because we've been loyal customers for years.

Southampton: Sorry but Ward Prowse is 45 million and Vestergaard is 40 million.

Liverpool: Haha good one lads. Okay look we like you guys so we'll give you 5 million for both and we'll give you first option on Adrian.

Phone dies.

You forgot the option of paying £45 million over 45 million years.

Don't know what the fuck they're going to do when Mbappe signs a new contract at PSG for £600k a week.

Actually, I do...

New generation of Academy graduates will save LFC millions.

FSG stick it to PSG who lose out on £150m boost as LFC promote Academy graduates "as good as Mbappe".

Mbappe would just block the path of a kid to team anyway.

Seeing Odegaard’s asked to leave Madrid tonight.

Wouldn’t mind us taking a punt on him.

Nowhere near good enough to play on the wing for us in a 433. And wouldn’t be an upgrade to our midfield either imo.

If we change to a 4231 then maybe, but I still dont think he’d make the first eleven.

Harvey Elliott is probably a better player anyway in a year or two for the positions Odegaard could play. Maybe he is already.

We need a CB.

    • Yeah I can just see the Premier league expelling the biggest clubs in the league if they try this again while losing billions in TV money ect. Never going to happen.    Its not like the clubs were looking to break away from the Premier league so the league should just shut the fuck up.    You can guarantee any of those other Premier leagues clubs would have been invited they'd have been on the ESL bandwagon quicker than a tramp in chips.
    • Beautiful goal from Insigne.
    • Stevie would be best advised to stay there for at least another year. He's learned how to juggle domestic and European football this season, but next year he'll have to deal with how Rangers respond to being league champions, plus trying to negotiate their way through the qualifiers to reach the CL group stage and compete there. Most English managers don't have experience like this so, even though he's not in the strongest of leagues, it would already set him apart from the rest of them.
    • All the stuff that is continually being said about it would nearly drag you towards wanting the horrible ESL.   The other 14 are greedy bastards and the owners of pretty much any football league team is also. That's business. The days of Jack Walker caring about his local townspeople is well and truly over. All these fans concerned about spreading the money, like say West Ham fans should be happy to say to Uefa that only one team from each country makes the Champions League so their place goes to say the Armenian champions. That would be equality at play. No chance of that being popular with more than 1% of the West Ham fans. In fact, it would be higher among our fanbase who are the fairest imo when it comes to things like that.   Uefa going on about fairness have the power to look after the smaller leagues and spread the wealth which will have a knock on positively on the international game. Instead their new format helps the big clubs and the big leagues. They decide to punish us - it will be West Ham or Everton benefitting rather than the champions of Luxemburg. They can really do one.   Sky and BT can royally fuck off. Jake Humphries going on about great the Leicester owners are - as if they were invited to the ESL party they would have said they weren't interested.    I hate the ESL because it's people like us on here that would lose out when there are games are being played in Asia or being played at times to suit Asian or American audiences. I don't believe in stopping Stoke or Middlesboro from playing us or United again. Still this is the victory of one greedy cartel over another rather than any heroic slaying of the big bad beast. I loved them getting the opinion of Fat Sam before the game - yeah the bloke who got sacked from England from being a greedy bastard.
