I'm sure you can regal me with a great semantics argument, but I'm not interested.

I wouldn't "regal" you with anything.  I just want to be clear - is it or isn't it OK to smear someone on this forum by exaggerating and misrepresenting something they did?

People do it with me all the time, and there is no proof, so excuse my confusion.

Would your underwear untangle if I'd said "at" and not "on"?

Don’t worry he’ll be on that pitch up the players arses when the trophy gets lifted

You're probably right, but I don't think he would be welcome. Always got the feeling he is not well liked by the squad, by Virgil in particular.

To be fair to 3 Twats, I used to love a pack of these in the 90s.

Loved him as a player and I don’t mind his punditry at all but as a commentator he’s doing my head in. It felt like he was dying for us to lose or something controversial to happen today. Almost as if he wants to play down us walking the league.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that was on an old Marlboro poster back in the day.

His sky paymasters want some jeopardy in the title and relegation battles. He's just giving them what they want, by pretending there is a battle. Someone else was talking up Ipswich's chances of staying up the other day.

I was listening to Don Hutchinson on my stream yesterday and he was alright.

Unlike Warnock, Beglin and fucking Carragher, Hutchy knew how to shut up and just let the game flow without unnecessary and unwanted interjections of stupidity and narcissism.

Carragher was a 6/10 player and he's a 3/10 pundit imo.

His comments about the atmosphere were off the mark for me. Considering the day. Many in that crowd will have lost people at Hillsborough and he’s calling out the atmosphere? Bang out of order especially from a Red. Didn’t sit right with me at all.

My undies are fine.

I'm just amused by your obvious double-standards.

Yes. I feel a bit sorry for him, being THAT obsessed with the sport as a whole - personally, I just don't care beyond LFC these days - he has no hinterland.

It reminds me of Craig Johnston sharing a room with Beardo. After enduring Beardo's seemingly-inexhaustible witterings about the minutiae of the game, he said, 'Pete, mate, do you ever like to READ?' And to his excitement, Beardo said, 'Oh, aye!' So Craig asked him what kind of things he read. 'Oh,' said Beardo, 'all kinds of stuff - Shoot, Goal, Match, 90 Minutes, World Football...' Johnston reflected: 'It was at that point I wanted to jump out the window'.

A couple of times they mentioned that West Ham still weren't safe from getting relegated. Despite being 14 points clear of Ipswich with 18 to play for

oh come on, carra was way better than that. he wasn't world class, but he was a cracking player for us.

fair enough. i didn't hear him yesterday as i was at the game, i was talking more generally. to be honest, i thought considering the day (and i think i mentioned this in the match thread), i thought the atmosphere was good. it was bright at the start and was mostly killed by how we were playing. and there were several times the crowd tried to get it going again. we are not geordies or some of these foreign ultras, who think it's about a drone for the whole game. if people like it or not, our crowd is emotional, if the team isn't showing emotion, it drains the crowd. it's never been any other way in all the years i have gone.
