Despite the pain in the hole of international football, we’ve the option of starting quite a few well-rested lads on Saturday.

One of these is not like the others.

Matip should do a Paul McGrath....no not drink the ale house dry - not train!

Even seeing pictures of him training makes me fear he might break.

Love the story about Ireland putting a guy on a chair outside his hotel room to ensure he didn't leave, but not think about the well-stocked mini bar and finding him unconscious the next morning

Isn't Robbo missing Scotland's game tomorrow as well?

They're due a loss and we're coming off one of the worst results in the clubs history. Instead of their normal yard dog tactics, they'll think they're it and try to actually play football against us. Resulting in them receiving a rogering of (John) Holmesian proportions.

They have a good manager, who probably won't let them think that.

So, hopefully we're just better than them, and will win.

We can't stop doing what we've been doing to get us where we currently are. We have to remain confident and try and tweak our system to not have us on such a tightrope where we may sacrifice a small bit of forward momentum for a bit more defensive solidity. Now, we attack AND defend as a unit, and our front press needs to be much better to allow us to play a high line which has given us a brilliant platform to beat teams. Mentality monsters are going to be needed for the next month at least. Also, having mane, Henderson and thiago   back and maybe matip, will be a fucking huge boost.

Them having little arms in goals is another huge boost

I'm hoping that with most of their players away internationals it means that Ancelotti has a limited time to work on their shape ahead of this and they're not quite at it as a result.

We have quite a few players who haven't been away late into the week so I'd be playing them.  A team with Robbo, Matip (if he's fit enough), Thiago, Milner, Mane and Salah in would be fairly fresh.  I'd leave the Brazilians on the bench after their travelling.
