I'd have Ruben Blades as one of the most important global artists of the last 40 years.

Living in Florida - Marc Anthony would be in for a shout.

Not to familiar with Jamaican music as such but wasn't Toots Maytalls and Gregory Isaacs up there with top Jamaican artists though not sure they'd be jostling for top spot with the likes of Sinatra etc.
