Could Van Dijk do it on a rainy winter’s night in Kidderminster? I think not.

You've got this Willo.

Their style is more Continental.

Suitable for here or abroad. Convertible.

Van Dijk?

Karius not on the bench? Do we have a deal lined up for him?

I don’t even think Lincoln would take him for nothing and playing for free.  You should do another poll on how far down he is in the pecking order of our goalkeepers.

Having to play van Dijk is a bummer. And Grujic and Shaqiri playing/Wilson on the bench is weird. Not close to selling any of them, I guess. Although, Shaqiri in the 4-2-3-1 could be really good. Much better setup for him. Grujic as well.

Probably nonsense but I read any player who is in the team tonight (who isn't part of the first 11 before anyone starts any trouble) has a future at the club. Any player not, doesn't.

All the more reason we should buy another centre half IMO

Am I right in thinking that the Manc-in Chief doesn't lower himself to commentate on this level of sporting endeavour, and so we'll be able to watch on Sky in relative peace?

Last time we saw Grujic in Austria he wasn’t arsed. I’m surprised he's getting another shot.

Oh he’s played that recently has he?

We won't. When all 3 are fit, the new signing wouldn't even make the bench, now that Fabinho is a legit option.

What type of fucking team is that? Should have picked the first team. Could be are only chance of a trophy this, Everton obviously got the league and fa cup won, although on second thoughts we could win the champions league as Everton arnt in that,.. for some reason.

Yep, we got them banned out of Europe in 1985 and they've never recovered.

    • Agreed Ronnie. We were in a pub in Park Road early 90s and my mate had a crucifix showing (as a group of mates we're all Catholic pretty much) and was "asked" in no uncertain terms to cover it up. Even then we were really taken aback. Sectarianism was something that happened elsewhere and was a vestige of a bygone era - or so we thought. As I say, that was thirty years ago. I'd be amazed if that type of stuff still went on. The racism sadly, I'm not so sure on, but I think I'd be equally taken aback to hear it. It simply isn't - and never was - acceptable.
    • The pens vardy got against City a few weeks ago where just as similar to salah today. No having a pop at vardy cause he could have stayed on his feet though

    • Jesus, imagine them together   Rush, who is comfortably the Reds' all-time leading goalscorer having netted 346 times for the Reds, posted two pictures on the social media site of himself and Maradona together wishing a "happy 60th birthday to one of the greatest!"     Underneath his post, the former striker posted quotes he had given in a previous interview about Maradona. They read: "Diego Maradona was the best player I played against. Juventus beat Napoli at home, and I scored, but then we went to Napoli, and they beat us 3-1 and I thought he was an absolute genius.   "He was so good he didn't even need to look at the ball, he was just looking at these tackles flying in and riding them, manipulating the ball away from danger, it was a joy to watch. "Napoli wanted to sign me to play with him after the 1983-4 season, but Liverpool were having none of it.” More than 30,000 people have liked the post at the time of writing and Maradona himself replied to Rush too.   The Argentinian genius, who lit up the pitch with a ball at his feet, wrote: "I would have loved to play by your side. "We would have made an unstoppable tandem. Thank you very very much Ian. "All my respect and admiration for you my friend!!! Btw I love these pictures."
    • Sublime player.   Direct, skilful, work rate, intelligent play/runs.   got ourselves a jem
    • The pen was a pen, but I’d call him a diving twat if he was an opposition player and I’d be furious about the way he went down, even though I know he was kicked and it’s a pen.   if it was that diving twat at united id be angry, but he wouldn’t have been called out as a diver the way Salah was and always is.   With the disallowed goal, I’d want it disallowed if it was against us, and sometimes they are and sometimes they’re not. I have a strong suspicion Jota was offside anyway though so had already assumed it was gonna be chalked off, hadn’t celebrated it, and accepted it fairly comfortably.   mainly cause VAR coupled with empty grounds and rubbish piped crowd noise has sucked the emotion out of watching the match.
