They’ll now be even more shithouse and negative in the second half of course.

Fuck Chelsea, let them go as shithouse as they want. If we can’t beat a 10-man team we’ve dominated for 80% of the first half, we won’t be challenging for the title this season.

Well, Im just surprised (not!) that the ref even had to get VAR involved with that. It's as plain a red card as you'll ever see and he even had a good view of it.

Hope we keep focused for the 2nd half now. Has Naby made a forward pass yet? Sadio has tried the intricate ball a few times too many then when he's clear, the big lummox hauls him down.

Bobby annonymous again, Gini doing a lot of graft but little to show. Robbo running his bollocks off again and just needed a cooler head with that flighted ball to him.

Werner looks quick and the only thing that worries me is Fab's done very well but he's not the quickest player on the pitch especially as the game wears on.

The monitor gives the ref chance to see his mistake instead of having someone tell him he's wrong. I like it.

Yep they’re starting to do that this season, so much better.

Can't we play Jota today, I'm just done with Frimino, God.

Jota will be getting plenty of games if his form doesn't improve.

Neville straight away called it. Carra tries to be objective it's embarrassing. Only the Bluemoon gimps would say otherwise.

Carra cunt pundit. As for Tyler he's always been a right cunt.

Ashley Young has lost his socks as well as his brain.

Can you imagine the stimulating conversations between him and Cheryl when they were a ...... pair.

Firmino has been awful.

Near the end when he lost it on the touchline and just stood complaining while Chelsea attacked annoyed me. And that’s the PG version.

Leave Ashley Young out of this, poor cunts in Italy and getting slated.

Keita has been invisible needs to come off...this is made for Thiago now...what better introduction than to get him on versus a team camping in own half and a man down.

Was signed after the Friday deadline. He can play in the next game though. Love Bobby but he's not even bringing his dinner to the table at the minute.

    • I'd hate to be the fellas missus when Sutton and Savage hang up on him.
    • Sheffield are a team with some big lads in it. I think we'd have struggled a bit even if Virgil had of played this. Yes, he'd probably have won his fair share but he couldnt be in two places at once.   The early pen decision clearly boosted Sheffield's players and Im sure Wilder would have told them without Virgil, Fabinho playing as emergency CB and probably expecting Adrian in goal, to give it a real go as this was probably going to be their best chance in a while to get the 3 points off us.   I thought that opening spell was going to see us batter them and what an audacious free kick by Trent! The keeper did well to recover on that one to tip it over the bar.   Great to see Alli back but then he gave me a heart tremour on that back pass. Jota's performances must be pushing Divock towards a January exit? I really dont see Taki pushing Bobby in any real sense at the moment. Lots of energy but I dont see an end product. If Bobby's position is going to come under threat, it's Jota who's going to be the one.
    • These aren't Maribor. I don't think we can play mostly backups against them and expect an easy game. If you look at their squad, they're a giant side. They could give us trouble. Especially with no fans at Anfield which cuts out some of the intimidation and pressure factor.
    • Antonio did a hammy v Citeh. Hopefully he's missing as he's usually peak Drogba against us.
    • With the Sadio offside thing, he'd made a burst into the middle just before and the ball never came to him. Normally when we've recycled possession from those situations, we look to switch the play across the pitch and stretch the opposition. That allows our forwards the opportunity to both get back onside and look for space. Thiago sees things very early, so Sadio received a through-ball he wouldn't otherwise expect to get. It's that adjustment our players will learn to make.   As for Sheffield United, Wilder uses his back three differently to other managers who play with that system. In Wilder's system, they don't look for the wing backs immediately. Instead, one of the two wide defenders in the 3 will carry the ball into midfield, lay it off to a midfielder and get it back before finding the wing back. While this is happening, the midfielder on that side will drop back to cover the space left so the defender can carry on into midfield. The problem for an opposition player when dealing with it is that they can't track both players who've switched positions. Combine thas aspect with Sheffield United's directness and, if they are on their game, it can make it look like the opposition midfielders are being overrun and/or not tracking runners.   They've had a tough start to the season but I actually admire Chris Wilder for trying something tactically different when it would be easy to go all Sam Allardyce and play shit-on-a-stick POMOball with a heavy emphasis on set-pieces.
