I put it in the other thread that they aren't going in it. First the E Street Band are a backing/session band and secondly, Springsteen will be in the solo artists one.

They’re no different to The Crickets being in this. All his more famous albums are Springsteen and the E Street band. He’s much more a band than a solo artist.

I’m voting against you in every round now you prick.

A backing/session band. Fucking hell.

Been stiffed by the draw. I'd have voted for them in most of the other ties.

CCR are the best band in the competition by a long way.

The only other band I would have considered voting against them for is Springsteen and E Street. They should walk this now.

@Jairzinho and @KMD7 yeah I know lads. I love CCR myself. One of my best memories is me and the Mrs in a huge club on Pub Street in Siem Reap (Cambodia) and my Mrs leading the place to "Proud Mary". We were the only white people in there and it was surreal seeing all these Chinese going nuts. The lads from Michigan just hold a special place in my heart is all.

The E Street Band is an American rock band, and has been musician Bruce Springsteen's primary backing band since 1972. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

When not working with Springsteen, members of the band have recorded solo material and have pursued successful careers as session musicians, record producers, songwriters, actors and other roles in entertainment.

If I put them in then people would vote based on Bruce Springsteen. Would you rather I left Bruce out of the solo one?

Do what you want you big fucking tart.

Nearly everyone would be voting on the material he did with the E Street band, they’re not stupid. Explain how it’s any different to The Crickets, except they’ve done about 100 times the amount of material together than The Crickets have.

And yeah I’d rather you left him out of the solo one because his solo work is, on the whole, less well known and successful. So you’re going to get people in that one voting based on his E Street stuff.

I hope next time you’re up Mooks arse he fucking seals you in.

Have you seen some of the voting on here?

Even their own Wikipedia describes them as a backing band and session musicians.

I hope next time you are up SD's arse he spits you out to the Isle of Man with an almighty bastard fart.

Marvin Gaye used to be a session musician. That’s not how you’d describe him though is it? He was obviously more than that. E Street are full of top class musicians, been instrumental in the sound of Springsteen and are one of the great live bands. They deserve to be in it as much as any other band.

Anyway, back on topic. This is one of my favourite vinyls. Canadian record store day release on 10” white vinyl a few years ago. Got two, one to listen to and one to keep sealed. Whacking it on now while I do some work.
