Santana all the way here, their first 4 albums changed music forever, in a good way.

 

Never liked RATM, always sounded like a soundtrack for disgruntled teenagers to me. My mates are in a tribute band to them, who are hilarious though so plus points for that.

Really tough call between two very different bands. Massively into both at different times. Still live both, but don't listen to either regularly. Morello and Santana both great guitarists, although Santana obv on another level. Rage's rhythm section one of the tightest though.

 

Know your enemy possibly the best mix of hardcore and hip-hop out there.

 

But in the other hand Santana is possibly the only guitarist in existence that can make a PRS look cool.
