Tough first eight in what I fully expect to be a tighter, 90-ish point league this time around. With that said, the last eight (Old Trafford aside) are games you’d fully expect us to win, and that could be a real difference maker - if there are a few uncharacteristic slip-ups, I think we would all do well to remember that the great Ferguson Man Utd teams often instilled hope by starting sleepily and then waking up when it really mattered and while that would be fatal with one team performing almost flawlessly like City and then ourselves over the last three years, it remains the exception.

Our failings between 1990-2018 left me with this entrenched trepidation surrounding almost any away fixture. It’s waning, but still lingers.

Still struggling to understand the winter break. The premier league site has match week 18 down with an asterisk, some games will played Jan 12/13th while others will be Jan 20th. Those playing Jan 20th will have a game on Jan 2nd and nothing (excluding cups) until Jan 16th. A 14 day break is a break.

Those playing the 20th will have games on Jan 2nd, 12th, 16th and 26th. A 10 day break isn't enough to do anything with. A huge amount of unfairness involved there especially as the TV companies will decide who plays when.

Didn't think there was a winter break this season.
