The Kinks as they don't have half hour drum solos.

Moby Dick lasted 30 mins+ only three times, once in 1973 & twice on the 1977 tour (when it was renamed Over The Top).

Zeppelin by the way, always Led Zeppelin.

I thought Led Zep's first two albums were great but I didn't have much interest in them after that as they got a bit full of themselves and went downhill in my opinion. I reckoned they'd lost that freshness. Never listen to them now although I agree they were massively influential.

I still love listening to The Kinks though so they've got my vote.

Nor me but apeman is great,

"the air pollution is a fucking up my eyes, I dont feel safe in this world no more, I dont want to die in a nuclear war, I wanna sail away to a distant shore and live like an apeman"

Forgot the song

Ape man of course . Who wasn't captivated by the sight of Ray Davies in a monkey suit on TOTP.

To be fair I do like the Kinks and they did some great songs but I think even Ray would agree he was no Robert Plant.

I seem to remember Mook slagging the Clash off for cod reggae.

That's a send up though, as was my insult.

As for Plant's vocals on the early Led Zeppelin albums, if you don't like high pitched vocals, then you're not really going to like those albums. To each his own & all that.

On the other hand...
