Someone posted our form (I'll try to find it) since the Watford game. It's not good at all. I know we switched off after City failed to win against Chelsea, but it in all honesty, things started a bit before Watford.

 

Main issue is the defence. It's been fucking woeful.

Critchley doing a good job at Blackpool considering the team has been thrown together. Has them playing as a cohesive unit and working hard in all areas of the pitch.

The shape in these preseason games is always so bad. We lose the ball and then it's one pass over the top and the other team is through on goal. It's so weird.

Fucking incredible that Trent is on england duty when he hasnt played in any of our pre season games so far. Just when are clubs going to put their foot down about shite like this?

 

That said, Jurgen wont be pleased with that display.

Our front 3 don’t look like like they have goals in them the last couple of games. Mane has been the best recently - Salam and firmino in particular look miles off being ready for the season starting next week

Van Den Berg has definitely been in the gym building himself up. He was like a noodle when he first arrived.

Not the point though. He could have been at Anfield getting minutes for us today. 
 

In normal circumstances I’d agree with you but I want him to get some match sharpness ahead of next week.

I just can't believe we're champions, we've had patchy form since the new year, the squad needs new faces and all we've signed is a back up left back for £12m (and now he's out with COVID-19)!
