Just had a quick look to see who that Cedric Itten bloke is who scored twice for Rangers today.

Do you reckon that they were both headers?

Two goals, eh? Such a good touch for a big lad.

Been thinking about the pen Utd got after the final whistle yesterday. I can understand the argument that VAR can look at a handball before the whistle went and the spot kick is then awarded but it was clear from what was said that had the keeper saved it play would end and no rebounds would be allowed. That doesn't seem right as play resumes the moment the kick is taken and as time had expired shouldn't the ref blow time before the ball crosses the line ?

I know that's ridiculous but the same twisted logic allows the pen to be awarded after the match had ended creates the paradox.  The final whistle should be just that and if ,as yesterday, a foul was committed and missed by the referee at the death then tough titty. No extra time should be created out of the ether to take a pen

No because the laws of the game permit the penalty to be taken to it's conclusion in such circumstances ie a goal is scored, keeper saves it or it is missed.

But no rebounds allowed . Bonkers but you're right . Thanks for clarifying

Nonsense call (mainly because Dier was getting nudged in the back causing his arm to go up), but they've been crying out for a bullshit handball all game (Kane even claiming stuff he couldn't even see and blasting the ball at defenders in the hope of a lucky bounce)...

so...

FUCK EM. Ha!

Its bullshit has his back to it, its headed from a yard away. Yeah his arms in the air you don't jump with arms at your side. The amount of pens is becoming farcical. Blatent ones brushed away, slight ones punished and everything in between all mixed up.

In normal time, rebounds are allowed. But for a last second pen, it's a sudden death kick. The law allowed for that because partly because in them days, the refs didnt have total accurate timekeeping plus, if the kick isnt allowed to be taken to a conclusion, there's no point awarding the pen.

Nah, that's no pen in my opinion and the Newcastle lad's head is offside! Kane red carded for protesting! Bit harsh.
