PSG drew 1-1 away to Rennes which leaves them 3 points away from Lille with two games to go.

They looked totally dysfunctional.

I watched a couple of their games earlier this season to see what Botman was all about. They’re quite a decent team. Their most interesting player is Yazici. A throwback to those second strikers we saw in the 90s. Lovely technique, roams about the pitch, looks dangerous, but will likely finish the season with only a handful of goals and assists.

Lille have loads of good players. Their strength is they have great depth. They can rotate and not lose much quality. And it's doubly impressive because they sell loads of players every summer.

Glad it's being moved as Istanbul is ours and should be nothing to do with that pair of financially doped fakes

UEFA and the Government locked in talks regarding whether Sponsor and “Stakeholders” would be allowed into Wembley.

Either Porto or Lisbon being lined up as a likely venue as UEFA would lose revenue should the money people not be allowed into Wembley.

Once again, the fans are the last ones to be considered.

What a fucking surprise.

Just as well it’s only those two sets of frauds involved.

Kind of apt they haven’t a clue at the minute where the final is being played and the venue is getting prostituted all over Europe to the highest bidder

I want the final to stay in Turkey, dont want city and chelsea fans being allowed into the final. It's got a fucking big asterisk against it anyway.

I want to be continually moved from Istanbul until we get there and win it again.

I read that next season was staying as St Petersburg, Istanbul moved to 2023, Munich 2024 & Wembley 2025 (so Munich and Wembley would move back a year).

Not sure if that is better or worse than expected.

Assume it’ll be -

Henderson, Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Rashford, Cavani, Pogba.

Man Utd v Leicester (18:00 BST)

Right, how about this... a Manchester United line-up to play havoc with your fantasy football team.

Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer makes 10 changes to his side, with Mason Greenwood the only player to remain from the win at Aston Villa on Sunday.

There is a debut for Anthony Elanga, while Amad Diallo gets his first taste of Premier League football.

Fancy doing this when can still technically win title....

    • My advice to my Everton pals - don't touch Rafa Benitez with a barge pole - John Aldridge   EVERTON are flirting with the idea of appointing Rafael Benitez as their new manager, and my advice to them could not be clearer – don’t do it.   The prospect of a former Liverpool manager taking over at Goodison Park will send a shiver down the spine of many Evertonians, and some of my blue nose friends are not happy about it. I saw former Everton keeper Neville Southall saying their fans will never accept Benitez as manager and I think he’s spot on.   Rafa will always be a Red and even though he has made Liverpool his home and I’m sure he would love the Everton job, he is not the right fit for them.   He would stabilise Everton, get them into the top half of the table next season and might even get them near a Cup final, but the style of football he promotes and the way he does things is not to everyone’s liking. When Benitez is running a club, it’s his way or the highway and that’s not ideal if you are not one of his men. Look at the way he treated Robbie Keane after he made his dream move to Liverpool in 2008.   Of course, there are two sides to the Benitez debate and there will always be plenty of Liverpool fans who will always hold Benitez in high esteem, as he was the manager who brought the fifth European Cup to the club on that famous night in Istanbul back in 2005.   It is an achievement that can never be taken from him, but there are some myths about that night that need to be popped.   First of all, he picked the wrong team to start that final in Istanbul, as Harry Kewell should not have started and the balance of the team was all wrong as AC Milan went 3-0 ahead.   Secondly, Benitez was about to take Djimi Traore off at half-time before Steve Finnan told him he was injured, and so he had to change his plans, which was a lucky break that went his way.   And thirdly, Steven Gerrard’s iconic performance dragged Liverpool to victory that night and gave Benitez the Champions League win that will always be on his record.   Rafa’s tactics were important in getting Liverpool through to that 2005 Champions League final and he was also inventive, as his side reached the 2007 final of that competition as well.   Yet the way it ended for him at Liverpool should not be forgotten.   He gave the green light for the club to sign way too many players who were not good enough to play for Liverpool reserves and you have to ask why those players ended up at the club?     https://www.sundayworld.com/sport/soccer/my-advice-to-my-everton-pals-dont-touch-rafa-benitez-with-a-barge-pole-40558032.html   And so he goes on, I'm getting the impression he isn't Rafa's best friend. He even goes on to criticise Rafa's house.
    • Exhibit A - Peter Walton.   This is the type of guy that PGMOL (or whatever they are called) like to recruit. He is clearly a yes-man. He isn't selected because he'll think for himself. He's selected because he'll blindly do what his bosses say.   This is the type of person they want for their officials.   They don't want people with acumen. People who can take in data and interpret it. They want people who will do what they say. Even if it is bad for footy.   Think about it. Let's say that your doing your job, and something unexpected happens. You make a decision in the heat of the moment. You aren't 100% and it's playing on your mind. Luckily, you have the benefit of a recording of the event. Right on tap. On a screen near you. In this situation, you'd go to the screen. See if happened the way YOU thought it did and make sure that your decision reflected this new info.   Now reflect on how many times a ref has actually gone to the on field cam. Studied it in detail. Taken their time.   Conversely ..how many times they have let someone else make that call for them.   Weak minded fools.
    • And those goals have added up to zero trophies. He has also got a few very decent, mostly non English, players supplying him at Tottenham whereas with England he does have English players alongside and thats the problem. He will be great for City but I'm not so sure he'll be great elsewhere.
    • He can have his little spats but its obvious the lad is a decent human being and another in the mould of our manager. Human beings first and footballers second.
