That’s very true. It’s a mentality thing as much as anything. It’s easier to go on a winning streak when you’re playing catch-up with others. We did it plenty of times pre-Klopp to claim the glorious prize of fourth place. 
 

As soon as United got to the top of the table, they bottled it and have dropped loads of points since.

 

It’s still good that Solskjaer is relatively safe there, but it shows how abysmal things have been from us that we’ll struggle to catch them this season.

Normally I’d agree with that. But our last couple of games when we’ve conceded a goal our heads have completely fallen off like something during the hodgson era. 
conceed a sloppy goal against city and gift them a couple more very quickly and the exact same yesterday. 
think it was a 7 minute period yesterday where we threw the match away after taking 75mins to take the lead.

Mad that no one gives a fuck when they win, there's no glory in their success, they are seen merely as a better option than someone actually deserving to win it, which when you think about it is totally fucked up and shows up how petty we all are. The rest of the country were losing their fucking minds trying to make sure we didn't win the league which we clearly deserved too and when that looked fucked they went hell for leather on the Asterix anything to demean it.

Agreed and when we were top at Xmas, stop sniggering at the back, you had a lot of bell ends trying to give it the double asterisk for this season too. How we're only 6 points off second is anyone's guess
