We have a concerted strategy not to shoot much from distance because shooting only from close in is generally the sounder thing to do statistically

We haven’t scored a goal from outside the box this season. 
 

Only us and Arsenal have failed to do so.

 

Even last season, only 30% of our goals came from outside the box, 2nd lowest to Sheffield Utd.

 

Interestingly, Citeh only had 32% from

oustude the box. When sides make as many good changes as both sides do, they don’t need to hit them from distance.

 

I do agree with the original point though, I’d like to see a few more screamers from outside the box.

 

I’m happy to offer my services if the lads need some coaching. I scored a few beauts in my day. Gary Mcallister once told me I’m a great striker of a ball.
