Why is Alaba spending so much time consoling that tosser Neymar? Go and celebrate with your team mates you nonce.

Right? What a waste of a great personal moment. Proper weird bastard.

The right result based on the performances of both teams, but neither had a particularly good game. I guess you can say that for just about any final, where fear of failure overrides taking the bull by the horns. You always see this when two teams are hyped up over their attacking prowess.

Bayern were far from impressive, but they were much more of a team when trying to go forward and create chances. Their execution was off for the most part. Gnabry could barely get into the game, but Coman on the other side was actually having an influence on proceedings. He got the decisive goal. Lewandowski scuffed his best opportunity when those sorts of chances have found the back of the net all year. Muller couldn't get into the game, Goretzka was busy but ineffectual. Thiago was tidy and always involved, without being as influential as he can be.

PSG relied far to much on individual ability in attack. The midfield was just functional and never looked to make attacking runs, so the forwards needed to be on it for PSG to make any headway. Marquinhos did his job, Herrera did his job, but Paredes was awful. Unfortunately for them, Di Maria flitted in and out of the game, Mbappe was completely shite (even though he should have had a penalty in the second half), and Neymar got into ball-greedy do-it-all-himself mode in the second half, especially after they conceded. Their alternatives were a totally-out-of-sorts Draxler and a totally-out-of-his-depth Choupo-Moting. It was never happeneing for them unless they profitted from a set-piece.

Not entirely happy that Bayern join us on 6 wins, but they've deserved it this year. They've battered several teams and actually won every single game in the competition this year! Thankfully, PSG's failure (though extending French clubs' woeful record in European finals - only a solitary Champions League for Marseille and a solitary Cup-Winners' Cup for PSG, both in the 90s) means that oil money has not prevailed. Anyway, PSG and their financial doping can go and do one.

The reports are conflicting, but Barcelona might now owe us another 5 million Euros because Coutinho has now won the Champions League!

Massive drop off from Draxler. When he was first coming through I thought he’d be ideal to replace Gerrard, he seemed absolute quality, involved with that dominant German team and had everything going for him. Would be a shame if it was a question of making it too early and losing desire.
