We’ll beat Chelsea then we’re 5 points behind United and with major players returning can get 2nd place. Still a good CL team it’s all to play for there,  then its VVD back for next season and we can put right a few wrongs.

The top 2 may end up being an almost exact reversal of last season's positions and winning margin... perhaps a 40-point turnaround.

PS. imagine Shanks or Bob enthusing about a possible run at being runner's up.

Well if it is at least we’ve seen how quickly it can all change with bad injuries and loss of confidence, or in Citys case confidence growing by the game.

First is first, second is nowhere was once true, but these days fourth place often saves your job. We have supporters talking about dominating Far East markets as much as football.

Perhaps it'll end up like 1981.

Win the European Cup, 5th place in the League - then a little reset - followed by three consecutive League titles!

Maybe but Paisley is not facing a dodgy middle eastern regime with unlimited resources using sport to whitewash its image

cheers - so we will have a blank saturday somewhere along the line then?

We play Wolves on Monday 15th and then don’t play again until Saturday 3rd April against Arsenal (the date of this is subject to change as the TV games for April haven’t been confirmed yet). The Chelsea match was due to be played on Saturday the 20th but got moved forward due to Chelsea still being in the FA Cup.
