If it was unintentional it should have been a yellow under the double jeopardy rule shouldn't it?

No idea any longer. Apparently he could have scythed him down if he had gone for the ball and it would have been a yellow . Accidentally catch his heel  then it's a red . I have filed in the bonkers folder.
