United fans are going to turn on Fernandes soon enough. Ole has so little impact on their style of football that he is their lone creative outlet and that's just an impossible job without some kind of robust system behind him. Without the pens, he's been average for a while, with some spark here and there.

I've never seen the fuss with him. He's got a decent long shot and and is obviously good at penalties but I don't see what else he offers.

I think he takes some dumb risks on the ball, but he's quite a complete midfielder. A threat to score, good technically, has good workrate. He, like most of their squad, gets no help from Ole, though. There is no system, no style of play besides hitting sides on the counter when they come up against a team that will attack them.

I'm not convinced. Good but not worthy of the hype he gets.
