All sneering aside, I reckon Everton will be a half decent watch this season. A sprinkling of quality and brainless defending is a great combination.

Yeah, massive gaps in there, will be interesting how low their midfield play when they come up against a decent side.

Had Everton pegged for a 65-70 point season this year. James will fade but Doucoure/Allan are the real steals there. That midfield measures up well against anyone except us/City in the league. Goals in the team too. Think they'll be in top 4 contention.

The blue cunts have spent some amount of cash, virtually all their players cost £25m plus. Off top of my head Iwobi, Keane, Pickford, Mina, Richie La, Digne, Doucoure, Allan, Sigurdsson and Gomes. Then you’ve got Kean and Rodriguez and Walcott . Who could forget Money spent on Bolasie and klassen.

Yet the still have these small club complex, pound for pound biggest underperformers in Europe.

That'll definitely be a test, as they still lack some pace from wide right to be a balanced counter attacking unit. The left hand side looks decent though, with a triangle of Digne, Gomes and Richarlison often linking up.

I don't think they'll trouble the top four, but there are definite Wolves vibes about the way they're shaping up. Should be able to mop up enough from the bottom half of the table consistently, and maybe cause the odd upset, to make it around the Europa places.
