Doppelganger

Everyone gets told they look like someone, but seldom do you see your own reflection in someone else.

I've had a couple of doppelganger moments. I don't have a pic of the first one, but we had a Portuguese bakery down the street, and the very first time I walked in there, the owners (an older couple) just stopped in silence when I walked in. They were star-struck. They said I look exactly like a portuguese daytime soap actor. I didn't really think it was possible, but they took me in the back of the shop one day after to watch the show with them. I have to admit, it was me. I wish I could remember his name. I should have gone to Portugal immediately and taken advantage of the situation.

The second one is a photo from a book on WW1. The guy front and center under the sign looks exactly like me (when I was younger). I can't see a flaw or discrepancy. I first saw it 30 odd years ago, and it still jumps off the page at me. It's creepy, but I like it.

Would love to know his story.

I saw Mark (Section) post something like this on facebook today, so he'll be all over this.

You must be at least 80 years old then.

I got sent this a week or two ago. Jefferson Airplane. On the right with the girl round his arms apparently.

Repped for posting a picture of one of the greatest bands ever.

On the doppelganger thing I have never experienced that as no one is as good looking as me.

How do you figure ? The portuguese actor was a handsome middle-aged man like myself.

Here is a pic of me from a few years ago when I still had hair like him.

The Portuguese actor had ten eyes, five mouths and five noses? He must have got all the monster roles.

Ha!

Yeah this is the one a mate sent me last night from that Fear City on Netflix, it's a top class lookalike I have to say. I don't have the beard but if I did it'd probably looks something like that, like a helmet strap. I'd definitely wear that jacket too.

For years now I always get told I look like actor Paul Rudd, even the wife and kids say it when watching anything he's in, although he looks a slight more polished, well groomed, less tinges of grey haired version despite him being about 6 years older than me.  I also used to get the lead singer from the band Ash but not so much these days as they're not around much.

Went on honeymoon back in 1990 while we were on the bus going to the hotel this couple couldn't stop looking at us they had been married on the same day as us,  it turned out when we got to know them that I was the spitting image of a mate of theres I never did see a picture of the handsome bastard
