I watched The Cure set from Glastonbury last year on the telly and not only were they really fucking good but I didn't realise how many songs of theirs I knew (and liked). 

 

The Rolling Stones win though. Saw them live in 07 I think and they were great as you'd expect. Exile on Main St is one of the greatest albums of all time.

To add to this: I feel like with the Stones our relationship is entirely generic and impersonal. I admire them. I loved the Cure as a lad.

Vote for them, sounds like they're an important band for you.  No point trying to view this all through an objective lens.

 

Stones for me, but a really close call.

Jagger is probably the rock legend I like most that I’d least like to have a pint with. He’s very, very good but comes across as a twat. Regardless, practically everything they did up to and including Exile is incredible and I don’t think there’s anyone in this contest to touch them

As much as I hate the way Jagger sings with an American accent that's stronger than any American accent I have heard anywhere in the world, anything other than a rolling stones win would be scandalous.
