That said this is a tournament that has left out Elvis Costello and the Attractions - easily one of the ten best bands Britain has mustered.

Fuck sake, not heard much of their music either except the really famous song.

Not a big fan of either really. Did have a couple of Police albums as a kid. As much as Jools Holland and his rinky dinky piano annoys me, Squeeze wins on the grounds that Sting is one of the biggest blerts on the planet even if he was in Quadrophenia.

Sting is a great solo artist but The Police bored the tits off me and I sold Regatta de Blanc because of that back in around 79. Squeeze are one of the greats.
