This is THE thread for all things Amazon. The Good. The Bad. And The Ugly. As I don't think there has been a thread made dedicated to all things Amazon, let the fighting begin!

I'm going to start it off with the post I placed in the 'rate the last TV you watched'.

Where’s all the ec2 and kubernetes chat then wankers?

sadly some of these corporations are so fucking pervasive it is difficult to work without giving the bastards your data.

want to watch a work webinar, oh that’s on Facebook workplace, want to deploy a new database solution, now with Amazon web services.

If you’re not in London I wouldn’t bother paying for Prime as most likely you don’t get the same-day delivery service, and Prime Video is an utter embarrassment.

When the whole bog roll situation was ongoing, I order some rolls on amazon and they were due to arrive in a certain date window. It didn't happen. It then changed to another date window. It didn't arrive. I claimed a refund as they promised a certain delivery date and failed to deliver on two occasions.

As a result I got a refund and weirldy a month later the toilet rolls arrived. Moral of the story is if they say delivery by a certain date/time (prime or not) you are entitled to apply for a refund and you will probably get it. You then may or may not get the product too.

I like Prime Video, there's a more than decent selection of stuff on there, and the 'X-Ray' info is often pretty interesting, even if it's just seeing what actors are in a particular scene. I've probably used Prime Video more than Netflix over the last year or so. The football coverage was pretty good too.

I couldn't really care less about same day delivery- on the vanishingly rare occasions I need something immediately, I'd just go out and buy it. Free, next day delivery on a lot of stuff is more than fine. For £6 a month or whatever, I'm more than happy with it.

Only one good show on Prime Video; Preacher and it’s done. Tried to watch the Romanoffs and I lasted one episode.

Have watched all six series of Bosch and loads of other stuff , and the wife has been stopped from driving me up the wall by all of the home improvement programmes she loves.

If you can't find any good stuff to watch on Prime Video, either you're not looking hard enough or you have incredibly high standards and no channel will ever please you.

Same, Justified was good too, as well as Boys, The Expanse, Buffy, Angel, Mr Robot, House etc etc. There's a more than decent selection of films too. The thing I don't like are the additional channels where you have to pay extra or the mixing of the 'free' stuff with films to rent, that's a bit annoying.

I ordered 3 items worth a total of 56 quid last month. The delivery driver left them on the doorstep without knocking or putting a note through. My bird saw them as she walked in. Anyone could have pinched them. I rang up and got a refund, and kept the items. I asked the woman what the problem might have been and she said they must have been loaded onto the wrong van.

Pain in the arse with some things but easy as fuck with others.

I think I found a button to limit the tv options to free only after the mrs cost me £3.99 watching a channel call hayu

Keeping Up With the Kardashians?  My missus watches that on Sky, I haven't told her it's on Hayu otherwise we'd be subbing to that as well...

Mr Robot is garbage. Bosch meh. American Gods first season is good, second season shite. Same goes for The Man in the High Castle, though the main character is banging throughout. I expected a lot more.

Does anyone really watch that?

FFS

I went round a mates house to watch the game one night & went off on one about people who watch shite like that, he let me go on for about a minute before pointing out that his wife (sitting next to me at the time) watched it religiously.

Brilliant.
