I liked Ancelotti but he lost his L.A. privileges after the derby.

I don't hate Rodgers. I don't particularly like him either though. I find him a bit nauseating and his off the field conduct when he was here wasn't befitting of an LFC manager.

Of the top six though he's comfortably the one have the most time for.

Other than Klopp of course, before some smart arse tries to pull me up on that!

Don't worry we won't be top six for long!

Not just that, it was all the drama it caused. His son showing up at Melwood with a cricket bat wanting to batter him, his Mrs turning up on the bounce at the Formby house owned by the club where he was taking his side piece and the bizzies being called out.

All stuff like that, just not what you expect from an LFC manager.

I didn't know about that stuff but I am not exactly surprised either. He was also a bit of a slum landlord wasn't he? Allegedly.

Got taken to court by a lot of his tenants. Had a lot of property in the greater Manchester area.

Wanting to batter Rodgers?.

Was this the same son who was accused of rape?

I think we have established a good number of reasons why some of us have never liked him.

I always thought he was a blagger, never disliked him as a person that much but some of his football decisions threw me into a homicidal rage.

You're on about Hodgson, right?

Lot of talk of German coaches replacing the fat fuck, but speaking of the devil as he’s being discussed in here, anyone see them going for Rodgers? Abramovich loves a bit of flavour of the month, has always seemed to want them to play ‘expansive football’ and has absolutely no clue you can’t just plug and play managers and players from totally different clubs and squads interchangeably, without a teething process at the very least.

I don't think they've gone more than a year without a trophy win since the demented clapping seal bought the club, and that's with chopping and changes managers. The cunts almost always land on their feet when they make a mid-season change. The worst example being Di Matteo.

Yeah, fair shout. As it goes have just seen Tuchel is the replacement per Honigstein in The Athletic. He recently finished playing the paedophile who kidnaps a child in Season 3 of The Missing, so he’s available.

Yeah will be made up if Tuchel is the replacement. Most overrated coach in Europe. Goes back to an earlier comment about this club, they just don't bother doing any research or scouting and just buy/hire the flavour of the month hype job.

I dont care much for lampard but unless he's already been told to clear his desk, it's piss poor to have to read in the papers you're getting sacked some time today.

He's out of his depth and is a Championship manager at best. He might do a job for a smaller PL club but he got the Chelsea job purely because of what he did as a player.

Why anyone would want to manager chelsea and their ownership, fuck knows although I guess £10m-£12m a year helps. I know some dont rate Tuchel but I think he'll make a heck of a difference there than Fwank.

    • I think they're helped by their style. Players like Silva and Foden can play midfield or as a wide forward. Ours can't.    Agree re Matip. Excellent player but has to go. Can't see us looking at Rice though.
    • Nah, Newcastle the natural next step.
    • Ake was bought to cover for two positions (CB and LB). Bernardo Silva and Foden have started at seven and eight different positions respectively this season. I think versatility is a good quality. I wasn’t saying “let’s buy Rice and forget about CB”. Let’s get Rice and a CB. We absolutely need to replace Matip, as he hasn’t contributed since the CL win.
    • Fabinho is basically a better Declan Rice. He doesn't really make much sense for us. If we're sticking with a 4-3-3, the midfielder we need is essentially a young James Milner or Hendo. Someone with humongous work rate who can play on the right side, track back, make forward runs, win second balls, 50/50's, etc. Jones and Thiago are already the ones who can conserve the ball. Hendo is the alternative to Fabinho. We need a legitimate alternative to Hendo. The obvious player is Ward-Prowse, but he'd cost a fortune.    Or, we move to a double pivot and buy a #10 with goal threat.
    • The point is both arguments are valid. Flexibility can be good. It can be a hindrance. What we have shown this season if you are looking for players who start in your best team to be the ones moving around, it is probably not very good for your team as you gets hurt twice. If it is say someone like milner and chamberlain who wouldn't be in the team anyway, it doesn't have that impact. City suffered from it last season by thinking their holding midfielder could replace kompany (like we thought fabinho could replace lovren) and it would all be of because of an incoming player (like we did with thiago). Making your starting point that lad can play centre back as well as midfield defeats the object. If you need a midfielder, buy him. If he happens to be versatile, that's ok, but it matters little if the player can't do what you bought him to do. I can't think of any time you would buy someone for you first XI and put versatile on a list of requirements.    Declan Rice would cost the sort of fee that he should play on his preferred position every week.
