Nice to see Burnley roll over against Man City but pull their finger out against us like it was the world cup final.

They were fucking shit expect Pope until their goal.  We only have ourselves to blame plus the officials the useless cunts.

Burnley weren't good at all. The margins between a 1-1 draw and a 5-0 win for us weren't very big.

If you spurn chance after chance, you will inevitably give the other side a bit of belief.

They would have folded in a similar way if we had been more clinical.

I'd be surprised if we break the points total now. Is a shame to end the season tinged with a bit of disappointment if so, but getting the 30 year wait off our back is the main thing.

To be fair these drops in form happen when a team walks league.

I remember in 83 when we won it early we were shite for rest of season - think we lost 5 of last 6 anyway and deffo lost 2 or 3 after winning it

It's weird isn't it - winning title with so many games to spare has now left us in this strange position where instead of just being made up and celebrating we are watching a team struggle a little bit to play with the intensity they need (understandable as it is) and we've had a good hiding off the oil cheats and now this.

Having to wait so long for the trophy as well does not help.

Would be horrible now to lose at Arsenal or v Chelsea - but it is quite likely i feel and whilst it would not or should not take the shine off an incredible season, it would leave a bit of a weird feeling.

Actually fuck all that... LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB - CHAMPIONS

My prediction is draw at Arsenal, lose to Chelsea and beat Newcastle.

I’m actually a bit gutted about this result.

I'm more than a bit obviously shouldn't be but I wanted the home win record and 100+ pts.

Ah fuck it. Let's just enjoy the fact we're champions. On Monday the CAS are going to let City off, they'll go on a spending spree never before seen, Newcastle and Chelsea will follow suit and the game will die.

Enjoy what we've got while we've got it

5 wins, 5 defeats in our last 12 matches.

One big ‘ol league win in the middle of that probably skews things ever so slightly, but agree with your main thesis - KLOPP OUT NOW.

That was like a home game from a decade ago. We had all the possession and created all the openings, but the opposition defence were getting last-ditch blocks on any half-chances and the keeper was saving anything that got past them. The opposition then scored an equaliser with their only foray upfield, and all of a sudden the game is stretched and we are snatching wildly at opportunities.

Cracking header by Robbo to give us the lead we deserved. Bobby wasn't getting any chances but his general play was very sharp. Mo and Sadio were buzzing around him. Neco and Robbo were getting forward well, and Curtis was playing very well. We just lacked composure when it came to getting the final shot away, and that got worse as the second half wore on. Bobby hit the post with a scuffed effort. Mo scuffed high and wide. Sadio scuffed one straight at Pope. Mo scuffed a great chance to win it late on.

That's the real story. A lack of composure and precision when we got into promising positions. Bobby still can't score at home. It's irritating because we just don't seem to be able to blow teams away to ram home our dominance.

An errant offside call gave Burnley the free kick which led to the equaliser, but we didn't defend it well enough as a unit. They had a chance to forge ahead late on, hitting the bar, but again Alisson dealt with the situation as best he could despite clearly being impeded at corners all game.

The moment that pissed me off the most in this game was when Big Joe was booked. There hadn't been a bad tackle all game and it was barely a foul, and yet the ref saw fit to give him a yellow card. Nick Pope had been time-wasting at goal kicks all game yet only got booked in the last few minutes. You deal with that sort of thing early on to stamp it out, otherwise it's merely a token gesture akin to locking the gate after all the horses have bolted.

Annoying that the 100% home record has gone. And now the other target of achieving at least 100 points requires something from every remaining game, including 2 wins. We've won the title but we've lost our edge.

Firmino was decent, bar the scuffed finish off the post.

Yep, his control at times is sublime and he was the better of our front three IMO. They all made mistakes, just Bobby is under the radar of certain posters.

Would be a great achievement to break the Premier League record points total, and it’s still possible, but ultimately it doesn’t really matter. Champions of England. That said, for me, it still feels a little bit disappointing that we weren’t able to defend the Champions League.

Our snapping at shots, fluffing the ball, pea rollers or just spooning it wide is infuriating being belief. Why do we do everything so right then turn to jelly.

We look flimsy when under the cosh too. What's changed. It feels like since the first athletico game we've just lost what it is that makes us special. Were still damn good but that edge has just been blunted. The Palace game being the only outlier and the city game exposing our flaws.

Still we wrapped this shit up when we were on fire pretty much. 19 still doesn't feel real I think it's because we haven't lifted that ugly piece of shit trophy. Give us cash to spend FSG let this team be improved.

Oh and it's still just the best season despite the moaning. Champions!!!

English, European and World Champions. May not happen again just enjoy it.

Exactly. You'd think we lost the league today reading some comments. What is it, 34 consecutive home wins before today? We really should have lost to watford at home and would have but for some shit finishing by their forwards. Allison gets sent off against Brighton and we just hang on for the win. Today, we deserved the 3 points but their keeper made a couple of excellent saves and the officials gave two poor decisions against us. Shit happens.

Long runs come to an end. It's disappointing but we've won the league.
