If Bayern agree to give him away for free and Thiago agrees to play for free, then you never know what might happen.

If Thiago plays for free for four years, at the end he will get a choice of a gold plated wristwatch or carriage clock. What more could he want?

Sounds like the old ‘sell us Gini for £15m or we’ll go after your target (even though we really won’t)’ manoeuvre.

“How many times have we seen that story?"

The "Stefan Schwartz" tactic. That's how we got Hamann from Newcastle, by planting a bullshit story in the North East press that we'd sign Schwartz from Sunderland if Newcastle didn't lower the price.

I’ve come to think we are being used by Thiago and Bayern as part of their negotiation tactics. I’m gonna call it; we won’t be signing him.

Flick and Rummenigge have said he's leaving. But with having to sell before, I agree there's a greater chance we won't sign him. Probably 40/60.

Some guy on Sky this morning said that his first choice is to come here, his second choice is to stay at Bayern.

Maybe the lower the transfer fee the more money we will pay him and his agent as a signing on fee?

I read somewhere that United weren't prepared to meet his wage demands, as they don't want another potential Sanchez situation.

This whole 'saga' has been a bit odd really.

The Grauniads gossip now saying Barca  are now interested in signing him and he's also interested.

Thiago and Gini will be playing in the same team next season. Unfortunately it will be Barcelona.

We got the money for No 6, the European super cup or whatever the fuckers called, the world cub champions prize money, more money than anyone else from TV coverage and more than anyone else in the PL because we won it. We sold Lovren for 15m but only spent 11.5 on the Covid Kid and we're now hawking Brewster (about the only one to rival  Origi for backup) for 20m.

That's not taking the piss , that's taking the entire sewage farm.
