Cheers for that.

Enjoyed this line:

”Thiago has been quietly masterful playing just behind on the left of midfield, a footballer who spends every moment of every game diligently rewiring the house, grouting the bathroom, stitching together the floor joists; and above all playing cold, his entire presence based on the idea that there is always time and space, that this is simply another moment in his own ongoing deep personal relationship with the ball.”

There’s also one comment (a Guardian Pick) to that article that is well written and summarizes him well.

The frustrating thing about that article is that it didn’t expound upon how good he is without the ball.  He is exceptional in tackling, heading, and intercepting - certainly the best midfielder we have regardless of whether we are in or out of possession.

He's top class. Alonso levels of superb.

Brilliant footballer - but he just can't and won't stay fit.

We don't have the required back up to cover his inevitable absences and we need to sort it, if we can we go from the amazing, brilliant totally boss team we are to being virtually unbeatable (cheating sportswashing cunts aside)

This is a fucking disaster.

Definitely makes Madrid heavy favourites. I’m inclined to hope there’s a change of system in the pipeline, because it’s hard to see us getting much anything out of Kroos and Modric with a makeshift midfield. If Fabinho doesn’t make it, it’s borderline essential.

Apparently you are not correct.

Right hamstring problem. Please just be a twinge.

Read that it’s his ankle. Klopp said lower limb in his interview with club site. His ankle was strapped up when he walked off the pitch.
Scan tomorrow. Please let him be fit.

Not looking good. We've done well with injuries for most of the season, but they've finally started to catch up to us right at the end and to some of the most crucial players. Maybe it was inevitable with all the games coming thick and fast. Really need Fabinho back for Saturday but even then there's the concern that he often looks a bit leggy after being out for a few games. I think we're going to need the defence and the front 3 to be really at it to win (could we please have pre-January Mo back for this final game?)

he's irreplaceable.  The drop off from him to everyone else bar Fabinho is massive.
