I heard yesterday he was pulled out of training on Friday. He's been training of sorts since the injury and they're now trying complete rest as they don't have a clue what's wrong. Next step is another medical opinion (I think there's been two already outside of our team, but I wasn't told this yesterday). There's no expectation on a return date at all - effectively he's made next to zero progress since the injury itself.

Shit. That's not good news at all.

It is worrying, but who knows, maybe 3 or 4 days complete rest and it'll settle in a way it hasn't before. Even if the settling allows them to at least know what the fuck is wrong with him. Years ago you used to hear about injuries like this all the time because of bits of floating bone (although I think players used to play through stuff like that then), but I assume technology has improved so that can no longer be the case.

Thiago ain't playing again this season is he or if he is you just known this kind of injury tends to lead to other niggling injuries

Fucking shame that such a wonderful graceful player has his season cut short by a cunt of a challenge by a shithouse of a player who also rather than accept what he did tried to feign injury to escape being sent off

i definitely don't think we will see him in 2020 anyway.  what bothers me is they don't know what is wrong.

Jurgen Klopp "Thiago we have to clarify a little bit. Nothing is ruptured, nothing is broken, but the impact on the leg was that big, it is still not OK. It's not massive, he trains from time to time, but it will take some more steps. It will take a few weeks still."
