Goes to show there’s not a single genuine ‘ITK’ journo out there.

They all just report whatever they’re told to.

German, Spanish, and even French journalists were better informed than their English colleagues on this.

Similar story with Sancho transfer.

By some distance the best first 11 in Europe.

Not having Fabinho ahead of Gomez...stop right there..Gomez has his off moments but as centre halves go he was very good last year. Not great since lockdown but the fact that VVD, Allison have been even more shaky and Keita been probably our brightest tells you all you need to know!!

Ha. Aye, Fabinho wouldn’t be ahead of either Matip or Gomez IF they stay fit and on their top form.

The good news is, that if is no longer such a concern as he’d let nobody down.

Fabinho at CB ahead of Gomez and Matip? Maybe we can try Karius on the wing for a few games too.

We will allow them the Thiago excitement...drug of choice for today.

However, if there ever came a situation that we had to give Karius a few appearances just to sell him, wing might be more productive for that particular shop window!!

Well he wouldn't handball it, that's for sure!

Yeah there's pretty much nobody who's opinion I'd place any faith in on transfers now, even Bascombe has been quit on it. Sensible I suppose, if you've got no news don't just make it up.

Journalists like Reddy and Pearce are now regarded as close as possible to ITKs, but the club is now so controlled in terms of the information it gives out that even they are feeding on scraps. And they'll be happy to put out whatever the club want to put out because it means they still have a semblance of access. I've no doubt that the club keeps a LOT back so that when it gets out, it's on the club's terms and not filtered through someone else's agenda.

It's got me thinking about agent fees though. Might the excessive amounts we fork out in agent fees be linked to this control of information? We used to pay a lot less in fees a decade or so ago (of course transfer fees, signing-on fees and wages were much lower back then too), but all sorts of transfer and contract and transfer info was being blabbed by all and sundry back then too. We usually heard of things happening (or not happening) long before the club officially had its say. Are we paying more to agents so they keep a lid on things? Just thinking out loud here.
