In our rush to praise the efforts of Klopp and his backroom team, the players, the club, and all the support staff who have come together as one and ended thirty years of longing, I fear we have overlooked the real hero of our title win.

I am, of course, talking about Stig, who throughout good times and adverse times, hangovers, and shagging cake-fuelled middle-aged HR women, consistently ensured that he started the FF match threads which heavily influenced the winning consistency of the boys.

So let’s raise a digital glass to Stig, and the hope his good work carries on into next season.

We should speak to the club about getting him a winners medal in my opinion.
