Cannavaro made his debut in 93, when Ranieri left in 92, according to Wiki.

I knew that was coming...

He made his league debut in 93 after Ranieri left, however, he made his Napoli debut in September 1992 in a Coppa Italia second round game against Modena, coming off the bench for 14 minutes. The manager for that game - Claudio Ranieri.

According to Transfermarkt, Hughes’ main position is LB but he won the EC and Player of the Year playing CB. Need insight from older posters here. Where was he most effective in? Conscious he wasn’t the tallest of players.

He also played in midfield.

My grandad hated him. He used to pass the ball backwards too much.

I don't think Zidane played under Capello, @Bjornebye.

Zidane retired at the end of the 2005/06 season, before Capello took over at Real Madrid later that summer.

Their paths never crossed at Juventus, so I can only assume that you're thinking Zidane played under Capello at Madrid.

Speaking of Real Madrid, weird that Toshack managed them not once but twice. Especially given he never played outside of the UK. Claims he could have managed us twice too; strange he never ended up managing a First Division / PL level side.

Last seen managing the official 'Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company' football team in East Azerbaijan, 'Tractor FC', in 2018. Interesting character.

Yeah I thought 06/07 but your right, Zidane retired that same summer.
