Can't be arsed.

All of Southern Europe, several Asian countries, several countries in the Middle East, half of South America. Probably a few others.

Half of South America over France? I’ll give you Peru and Argentina at a push, but really?

So Greek food, which is about six things and stuffed peppers is better than French gastronomic cooking which has influenced the vast majority of Europe?

Strange hill to die on.

Yes. Bolivia and Colombia as well. Probably a couple of others.

I've no doubt that French food is more elegant, more refined, more technical etc, etc, but frankly I'd rather eat a bucket full of Bolivian empanadas.

France has had powerful impact on ‘gastronomy’, but rarely would I eat and enjoy much French cuisine. The best thing from France is freshly made bread from a local bakery. I haven’t been to France for about ten years, but the bread and bakeries are great. However, I think much of the country has been left behind. It’s all a bit old and stuffy. Cassoulet is pretty nice.

This

Some amazing dishes but I mostly view it as fine dining.

The simple country food is great as is break, cakes etc.

Bread and cheese. You don’t need anything else!
