That was like watching our first summer friendly each year (I obviously know we played Blackburn). The whole thing is just going to be mostly very dull to watch from near enough everyone just in form and fitness, let alone factoring in the enormous hit to atmosphere, tension and excitement of no fans. And the huge disappointment that Martin Tyler has been allowed out of shielding.

We'll not click into a groove for a good few games, no doubt. Nonetheless, at some point very soon we will watch Hendo lift that trophy, and finally lose this interminable fucking weight we've been carrying round, akin as it is to the aggregate of every last single male on lockdown's scrotat mass.

Shall we Zoom and drink brandy and want over boss footy tops from the early 90s? Anything to get me out of talking to this twat next to me

All right footers down the left is a killer.

Zero creativity in midfield.

Shit game, 1 point closer. Come on you Mighty Reds.

This

It was obvious very early we had no width. And as good as Trent is, he doesn't offer conventional width, doesn't beat a fullback often and without Mo he has little to overlap. Same with Mane, needs a overlapping fullback to keep the width.

Minamino and Firmino drop into the same position and Keita also wants to push into that same place.

Anyway first game back we are normally crap, 5 pts needed

City will have played 4 games by the time we go there, so we'd better click fucking soon. Of all teams, city are the best at training ground matches and I don't want us getting a pasting.

I'd have taken a point before kick off. It's a point closer and only 5 more needed. Do the business on Wednesday and win it at the emptyhad.

We'd only need to draw at the emptyhad, wouldnt we?

JB the only one talking sense on the after match there. Their two chances came about when Gini fucked about with Fab on the halfway line and lost possession and the other when Degsy was apeshit.

Agree with that mate. Going to be a tough game with the way they were pinging it about.

However, if we really want to pick holes in anything from a playing options point of view today, it's the squad.

Robbo and Salah will be playing in that game, and we all know we're a very different proposition with the best 11 out.

Our attack was very disappointing tonight. Mane tried very hard and he got kicked around all night. Minamino had some moments, but that’s it. Why move Mane central after bringing Origi on? Bobby was probably the most disappointing of them all. He could’ve easily played Keita in, and the game would’ve changed.

Fucking hell mate you get kicked harder than that in sunday league. He got hit on the top of his foot. Thats why he took his boot off.

No he pointed down the back of his heel and achilles. And it isnt sunday league so better to talk him off as a precaution rather than make it worse. But whatever, crack on.

How many draws get us across the line?

2, if we draw against Palace a draw at the Emptyhad will suffice.

Just checked Man City's games and of course they'll dick Burnley who will of course curl up in a ball like most of the league do like cowards there, and look to keep score down to 3 or 4.

But them they go to Chelsea who are decent and have loads to play for - no gimme for them that.

So if we can beat Palace we might just be celebrating this coming week!

Fucking shite. Our attack was a shambles. Never looked like scoring.

Bobby was invisible. Minamino. I don't get it all with him. Had the same thoughts pre-lockdown. Offers fuck all. Mane gave 150% as per usual.

Naby was good before he was subbed.

Don't mention the Lovren. Walking fucking disaster.

Could and should have lost it towards the end.

If we play like that against Palace, they'll do a job on us.
