You've clearly not seen the numerous social media posts from Leipzig and other's official accounts' constant "joking" about us buying him. Not exactly usual behaviour from official social media accounts.

You showed a Mainz themed comment. And no,I dont go near twitter and only use facebook for family and friends related stuff. Gossip is for old women.

Mirror now reporting that Liverpool will only pay up to £30m for Werner. Until his release fee comes down, they have pulled out of any negotiations. Leizpig won't sell for less until Werner is in the last year of his contract.

Possibly the best young striker in Europe holding out for us to buy him, and making clear that he’s no interest in going elsewhere.

 

Rather than criticising them for holding out for a lower fee, in this case I’d give FSG a bit of credit for their role in where we are now and why Werner is taking that stance.
