Otis Redding - Vocals

Duane Allman - Lead Guitar

2 of the main men behind the Motown sound, the Human Timekeeper Al Jackson jr and MG bandmate all round musician, songwriter but her on the Hammond organ Booker T Jones. Searing lead and slide Duane Allman and the voice of Stax records and the man who knocked Elvis of the top vocalist of the year after 10 years on top by melody maker Otis Redding.

Not sure how well known my band is really, but just about anything out of Stax or Motown plus a fair few after come from them.

What's all this doubling up on piano and vocals. We got told at start that would be possible. I'd have taken Greg Allman as Organ/vocals otherwise

I didn’t say that ? I said the miscellaneous could be anything . Everyone needs a ‘lead singer” though

You said the lead singer ability on other instruments would not be counted.

Doesn't read like multiple options at all

Lead Singer (If your lead singer is also a guitarist/drummer you only get the singing part, if you want them for their instrumental prowess then you need a different frontman/woman)

Miscellaneous (This can be a piano, keyboard, backing vocalist, Triangle player - whatever you like but you must pick one)

Backing vocalist, piano, triangle nowhere did you mention multiple options

Don’t cry mate.

But yeah the lead singer will be just a singer. How you have interpreted the miscellaneous option isn’t my fault.

You need to decide who is your lead singer mate and not have them playing piano as well

Mr & Mrs Trouble

Rock/Funk/Soul

Prince - Lead guitar

Flea - Bass guitar

Nina Simone - Piano/vocal

Thom Yorke - Vocal

Questlove - Drums

John Frusciante - Rhythm guitar

John Frusciante was in a band with Flea (RHCP), who in turn was in a band with Thom Yorke (Atoms for Peace). One of Thom Yorke’s desert island discs is Nina Simone’s “Wild is The Wind”. Nina Simone recored a cover of Prince’s track “Sign ‘O’ The Times”. Questlove was a huge fan of Prince growing up, became friends later in life and they used to jam at Paisley Park, and he’s also buddies with Flea. Prince did an awesome cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” when he played live in the 00s. John Frusciante had played Radiohead’s “Lucky” and “You and Whose Army?” live too. Thom Yorke admitted that guitar riff in Radiohead’s song “Reckoner” was an homage to John Frusciante.

He is wrong, one of them needs to be the lead.

Isn’t the issue that some people had their lead playing an instrument which isn’t allowed?

If Tony wants to have a lead (no instrument) and use his Misc as another lead singer then that appears to be within the rules?

Can the Misc double on an instrument and still be labelled a "lead vocalist?"
