How much money do you people normally spend going out if you've managed to save a lot being in a lockdown for 2 or 3 weeks?

 

I envy all those binge watchers, I've never had less free time than now, I started working from home a couple of years ago and am still fully booked and behind on my deadlines since I spend half a day following the news, on social media and on here. I barely have time for porn.

We're going to be in lockdown for over two months so I'll be saving hundreds. 

 

No pubs, no restaurants, no taking the kids anywhere, no record shops or buying clothes or toys for anyone.

I've been doing well staying out the pub so no beer and no ciggies. Eating much better and no takeaways.

I've completed Resident Evil Code Veronica, Resident Evil 4, Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2.  Just about to start another walkthrough of Shenmue 3 and then I'll start another game after that.

Bought a Shark hoover. Just using it now for the first time. Mind blown. It’s like a Ghostbusters proton pack. Fucking heavy bit of kit though. 
 

On the gardening front, I stood and watched yesterday as my missus put a load of grass seed down.

Put a Gazebo up

Put a hot tub in there 

Painted the garden fences, posts and shed

Learnt a bit of Italian on Duolingo

Threw loads of old shite and clutter away

Been on a 7 mile walk every day with my son.

Drank a litre of Bourbon in one week

Saved a bit of money as well, mainly on petrol, lunches in work, my gym membership has been stopped, no takeaways, kids activities, meals out etc.

 

Managed to make a few extra payments on credit cards and lower my overdraft.

Loads of gardening 

Shaved my head 

Sorted the stuff in the shed into some kind of order

Stuck in 40hrs on Dragon's Dogma on the Switch

 

To do:

 

Write something 

Learn something

Sort out a slow Macbook Pro

Make excuse about why I haven't written or leant anything

They play a bit in Alicante. Think it's there anyway, somewhere on the east coast. They (Spanish national team) had a tri series against Estonia and Malta last year. Also hosting some of that 10 over club cricket for countries that aren't test nations. 

Five or six hours away from me sadly. 

 

Malaga is probably my best bet relatively locally due all the British immigrants there.

 

I'd love a game but wouldn't fancy playing in the middle of summer.

I'll probably be in the best shape of my life when this is "over". Very easy to be consistent with working out when you've got all the time in the world and almost no other commitments.

Bit disappointed I've not lost as much weight as I would have expected seeing as no beer since the lock down which also means I'm eating less take-a-ways.

 

Note to self. In future, buy the fucking part for the car first before taking off the old one.
