Part of the reason he’s shit at politics is because he’s not actually a politician. He deserves criticism for the expenses or freebies, I really haven’t looked at it. I just want things to improve. The fucking country needs to improve over the next few years, because the Tories left it in a horrific state. The NHS is fucked, the economy is fucked, and they put their hand up and said ‘we are here to fix it’… okay, fine. Fix it then. Enough of the bollocks.

Yes she has. Legally wrong, no. But when you’re part of the policy making advisory team and you’re putting pensioners at risk, then taking a massive wedge for yourself, well….

The most disappointing thing here is that we criticised the Tories every time they put their snouts in the trough. But here we are, after 14 years of them and a new government that was supposed to bring hope, and we have a chancellor who’s boarded the austerity train, and MPs and advisers with their snouts in the trough.

She decides policy?

He isn't stupid though is he?

He knows this.

But he is getting absolutely hammered by both sides.

Hes made himself look like another self serving cunt. His hands are well and truly in the till.

When that lying fat tory toad Johnson was caught out spending taxpayers money on his wall paper, Starmer was the first to have a go at him for it and rightly so. Starmer has been in power 10 weeks and his snout is in the trough.

Now he's come out with "It would cost the taxpayers thousands for me to watch Arsenal in the stands"

How about you pay for the tickets yourself you absolute whopper.

Definitely not stupid, but perhaps not as well oiled as he could be with all the political shenaniganary as he should be. That's supposed to be what 'ol Sue is for. They need to get all this unpopular bollocks out of the way ASAP.

If he is genuinely so stupid that he couldn't see how rolling about in hospitality freebies was going to look when millions of people are struggling to make ends meet then he should be fucked off tomorrow.

Get someone with some self awareness to take over.

I say that in full knowledge that 99% of them are self serving neoliberal wanks and it's pretty much a hopeless cause anyway but deary me, politicians are depressing.

Those Arsenal tickets go back to before the General Election.

In Starmer's world, it's unthinkable that the Leader of the Opposition could watch Arsenal from the stands.

Not sure why people are getting angry about it.

He's been going to Arsenal for years with his kids (and paying for it) and now his security team has advised him not to sit in the stands because it will be difficult to protect him. Arsenal then offer him a box instead. Seems reasonable to me. Are we saying he shouldnt go to the game at all now that he's PM?

No.  We're saying he should pay for his own ticket. He's rich; he can afford it. We don't need to subsidise him.

He has hasn't he? I might be wrong, but my understanding is he's a season ticket holder. They've just moved him to a box. Or are we saying that he should now pay for the box?

One of those boxes costs more than £8k per match, I don’t think he’s covering that cost. I don’t really care all that much if Arsenal are happy to cover the cost, but the PL have also paid for him to attend away games in corporate boxes at Everton and Villa, and there is clearly a conflict of interest with the PL being against the new football regulator.

The other thing is that Starmer and Labour hammered the Tories for the amount of freebies their ministers were taking, and it’s clearly ridiculous to ignore that criticism now that they’re in office. The entitlement just pisses off the public.

If you agree he's entitled to continue living his life by going to watch football games with his kids, then you also have to agree it's safer for him, his family, and the general public sat around him if he is moved to a more private part of the stadium - an explosive drone attack would kill him and the others sat around him. I don't think he should have to pay for that personally.

As it happens though it looks like Arsenal are gifting him the box which means the only people affected are Arsenal shareholders.

I'd agree with the conflict of interest argument for the away games.

On the list of things to give a fuck about, the PM getting corporate at Arsenal is way low down.

Im more wasted at the crowing about Sue Greys salary when Simon Case was on over 200k a year and not a peep from the bbc or the papers

Labour have inherited the worst shitstorm ever and already the knives are fully out for them. They never stood a chance

Almost feels like a load of planned leaks, from disgruntled pigs having their snouts removed from the trough, and getting their preemptive hits in before they’re sent into obscurity somewhere their ‘talents’ are more deserving.

I genuinely think there is a campaign brewing to get Johnson back so the Tories win the next election. Pray to god the country isn’t that stupid (I know) but Labour have already been turned on. The Tories know Reform are a danger but Johnson would sway their voters back.

Labour government being held to a much higher standard of accountabilty and behaviour than tories. Well colour me surprised, who could have predicted that.

This is part of the process.

Purge the civil service of political loyalists and install your own where possible, then have a go at the BBC.

The noise will die down once those desperate to have their voices heard and axes ground are sent to pasture.

Of course Big Keith has to stop scoring own goals for that to happen properly…
