That would be ridiculous.

I had to argue with someone who was comparing Starmer to Blair, because Blair had political nous.  Starmer really could fuck this up and usher in a Tory/Fascist coalition at the next election.

That's what I think will happen.

It was a low turnout at this election, Labour were handed it on a plate. Even then Labour only got 33.7% of the vote share and the amount of people that voted for Labour was around half a million less than had voted for them in 2019!

If Starmer isn't prepared to make the party a broad church, they will lose votes to the left, centre and right!

They've only been in power for two months, but the Winter fuel allowance cut has seemingly signalled the end of the honeymoon period.

The fuel cut has been an absolute disaster for Labour. They’ve inherited an absolute shit storm but people have quickly lost sympathy. Whilst the Tories are the masters at spin, Labour are the absolute grand masters of making an easy target for their own back.

I don't understand it at all.

To create such a negative shitshorm to raise such a relatively low amount of money. There are plenty of other ways to raise this sort of money that wouldn't have pissed off the public so soon.

Its Reeves. She appears to care more about showing she can “get things done” with conviction than you know, people freezing over the winter. There are members of the Labour Party I just can’t identify with on any sort of human level. Streeting is another one.

To be honest I don't go along with this view that it's 'centrism's' fault that the right is on the rise. The right is on the ride because people are thick stupid cunts.

People haven't been voting Tory for 14 years because they wanted better public services and wages.

Farage is offering none of that, quite the opposite, he's openly said he thinks the NHS is kaput.

If you're old and poor and sick and you vote for that shite and go down in flames that's not Starmer or Macrond's fault, despite the pontificating of that Novarra media bird with the hamster cheeks and the big tits, and owen jones.

there also seems to be of a bit of a blase attitude about the dangers of the far right in this country.

The move towards the right is happening all over the world.

It's why I think a third world war is inevitable.

As countries all over the world struggle to find solutions to the various issues of climate change, AI, Ageing populations, declining birth rates etc they will all blame each other.

What some deride as centrism I'd call "ordinary folk". Virtually nobody you meet in everyday life outside of specialist bookshops gives a fuck about politics. They just want a job, somewhere to live and an education for their kids.

Does/did/has the right ever provided these things or claim to do so in the future?

Are the Tory frontrunners or farage or any of those cunts talking about wages or housing or schools? Or are they talking about made up shit designed to Stoke mob rage?

The "mob" is part of the problem. This vast, thick, lazy feckless rabble that is attempting to hold a gun to our head lest they kick off if we don't listen to their "legitimate concerns". The same dickheads who laud Thatcher and Johnson and Alan fucking sugar.

Every single one of those rioters should have been fucking shot as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who can't tell the difference between there, they're and their should be forced to go back to school, anyone who parrots conspiracy theories should be neutered too.

I'm sick of thick bastards getting their own way. They did with brexit, with Johnson, with truss, then they still fucking rioted. They're the enemy withhn and it's time we clipped the wires off this ticking social timebomb.

This is what it's like to have the grown-ups back in charge.

A Corbyn government would have had a monsoon of shit thrown at them, and they would have fucked up a few things, but at least they would have been trying to effect the changes the country is crying out for.

That's the trouble.  Some cunt says "the reason you can't have decent wages houses or schools is because Komrade Keir gave it all to the illegals" and too many people are politically uninformed enough to believe that shit.

Amen, comrade. That’s what got me engaged and campaigning. The prospect of real progressive change in this country first and foremost. Taxing the rich, taxing the corporations, going after the tax avoiders, the oil giants, and redistributing that money to properly fix public services, or at least restore them to what they were 20 years ago. If any of that happened we’d have more people willing to embrace all types of immigration.

Yeah, they’re so predictable. It’s how I pegged Trev and his highly educated mates as Reformers from just one post. I beat you all the money in my pockets I could find a badly spelled post of his with a faint whiff of racism in it.
