Look I am not asking the question to have a go at them . I don’t live in the UK I am interested in how it compares to the average salary there of other workers there . To me it looks decent but maybe it’s not.

It is, it's decent. They've got a good union.

But, grand scheme of things, who gives a fuck?

They're simply a useful diversionary tactic for billionaire media barons to use on thick as fucking mince peasant mentality serf cunts.

Yeah I can't imagine ever being arsed what money someone else is on, unless it's someone who's destroyed lives like speculators.

If you told me bin men were on a hundred grand I'd say 'salud'.

What really pisses me off about said cunts is that whenever someone or some group is highlighted for having something decent- wage, pension, working conditions etc- it's never, 'ooh, I want that too, how did they achieve that?'. It's always, 'I don't have that, so I don't want them to have it either'. Petty, small minded jealousy, no wonder it's so easy for the actual elite to divide and conquer.

Workers earning a good wage isn’t the issue, it’s that all workers aren’t getting a good enough wage. If workers, as they do, who work full time still require state support in the way of benefits, then they’re not getting paid enough. It should be on the companies to pay their staff, not the state. It’s not like a lot of these companies aren’t earning plenty of profit to pay their staff properly. If it’s an SME then you can introduce tax relief to ensure they get paid well, and use the greater tax receipts from those paid more to cover that relief. The minimum wage must go (and is going) up. For too long companies have been getting away with taking the piss out of the working classes.

Spot on  that. If you work then the absolute bare minimum you should be able to afford is a roof over your head and to feed and clothe yourself and your kids. It doesn't matter what job it is, but that should be the absolute bare minimum. The concept of the 'working poor' is a disgrace.

its thatcherism in a nutshell.

its like the thick cunts who demand a smaller state and will then have a fit because it takes the police 6 weeks to turn up after their house is done over.

I wonder if any other countries have the mentality we have in this country where working people getting a pay rise is seen as a negative, yet millionaires attempt to swerve millions in tax.

Where there is widespread gnashing of teeth because a couple of rich people have "threatened" to leave yet we have record number of children affected by homelessness.

There's a lot of people who see economics as a zero-sum game. That if someone else has a lot of money, it must mean someone else has less.

I disagree, and that's because I'm not a conservative. Or a Marxist.

More than that, people don't generally comprehend how much the very richest are sitting on.

(As an aside, do conservatives and Marxists really deny the existence of economic growth?)

I read somewhere that three men - THREE - in the USA have the same wealth as the poorest 150 MILLION.

The I are reporting that Ian Byrne, John McDonnell, Richard Burgon, Apsana Begum and Zarah Sultana could be kicked out of the Labour party permanently for voting against the Government on the two-child benefit cap.

That would be ridiculous.

I had to argue with someone who was comparing Starmer to Blair, because Blair had political nous.  Starmer really could fuck this up and usher in a Tory/Fascist coalition at the next election.

The UK has more millionaires and billionaires than ever before; people who have seen their wealth balloon in the last few years, while millions of people are living hand to mouth.

But let's blame asylum seekers and fucking train drivers.

That's unlikely, but I thought they were really stupid for doing it. They fell into the trap so badly, not to mention it was a policy they all stood on.

A dangerous game you play assuming gender in this day and age. How do you know that Elon Musk identifies as a man? Maybe he is bi or non-bi. Maybe at weekends he dresses up as a woman and posts on X under the name Tracy Tesla.
