Keir Starmer

That's at least another 10 years of Tory rule. Now is precisely the right time.

He has failed to unite the party, failed to score in the many  open goals the blond buffoon has left him and seems to have failed in getting across any message he has to the public.

He needs to up his game before his leadership fails.

Obviously the only barometer of success 1 opinion poll.

Everything that has happened in the last 18 months is utterly irrelevant .

Aye. For about a week.

Fully expect the DM and others to start some lies & slander about Labour. Works all the time. Dickheads fall for it as well.

So kier starmer has alienated anyone remotely left wing and has even begun expelling people from the party ,because there was a pandemic on.

That's logical.

He also suffered terrible local election results because of Corona.

Presumably wales wasnt affected.

Here's the current BBC politics headline retweeted by Laura Kuensburg.

Without a doubt.

This lead in the polls has been brought about by the rise in NI. He'll bluster his way through it, come out with another slogan, waffle about Captain Hindsight and the dickheads will love him for it.

Most people don't know what left wing means, they think it means having black weather presenters.

Ask Lozza Fox about the Sikhs fighting in World War 1! He'll soon tell you how woke you are.

So, Jess Barnard tweets about the treatment Young Labour have received from the party, and as if by magic…

There is something deeply rotten at the heart of Labour HQ.

Nowt civil about war as the old saying goes.

There are plenty dickheads on both sides, sadly.

A fucking shambles.

Edit: Once saw a fight break out in a pub with two meatheads. The build up went something like this 'The fuck you kickin off with me for?' 'What the fuck are you kickin of with ME for?' this went on for around three/four minutes and they were too stupid to realise that neither of them actually wanted a fight, they had just got stuck in a loop of pointless violence and harm, they kicked the fuck out of each other post this highfalutin exchange. I had a Margarita and looked on flummoxed.

Seems they gave her a banning order at 1 in the morning, why that time? Hoping it'd slip under the radar maybe?

They're backpeddling now, as a poster futher up the thread says, the top of the Labour Party are in a mess.

Issued in error. Yeah, because somebody didn’t type the email. They were just wiping their keyboard down after spilling some coffee on it, and wouldn’t you know it just happened to come out that way…

Am I missing something here? Aren't these the "grown-ups" who were carping about the lack of competence and credibility under the last leader and General Secretary?

Bit early to be branding Starmer an utter disaster.

Starmer has been LOTO for 17 months. I assume if we searched your contributions to the Corbyn thread up to and including February 2017 you would, likewise, be asking for calmer heads and no rush to judgement.

I don't think the situations are comparable, Starmer's entire leadership has been under the cloud of a pandemic while Corbyn had been under fire for months over his conduct during and after the EU referendum campaign. Regardless, it's quite possible that past events may lead any person to learn to be more patient.

You've hit the nail on the head. Corbyn was under fire from all quarters - including the centrists within Labour - from day one. Starmer has had an easy ride and is still behind. You say cloud of a pandemic - the actions of the Tories throughout have been a massive open goal and Starmer has consistently refused to score, if you'll excuse the metaphor.

Corbyn was under fire from within the PLP and HQ - even the General Secretary and the Deputy Leader - from Day One, even to the extent of facing a coup attempt. So, yeah, the situations are not comparable: Starmer has had a much easier time of it.
