I fear that the MSM have possessed the majority of the population of England. If people still think the government is doing a good job of managing this crisis when we’re heading for the worst death rate in the world I’m beginning to despair of ever achieving change under the current system

Yup.

Liverpool is a poor barometer on which to judge the electorate, because England's current voting population is spiteful, greedy, uneducated, servile, racist, and generally thick as fuck.

Coronavirus gives me more hope of positive change than Sir Kier Starmer does.

That’s some serious generalisation right there.

Maybe, but it's my view of the voting age population right now.

This lockdown man, spending too much time away from my friends and too much time perusing right wing drivel on Facebook and Twatter.

Maybe, but without principles what have you got?

Without socialism wtf is the Labour Party exactly?

Vote chasers who'll embrace any ideology which bids the highest?

He has a better chance of putting socialist agenda into play than Corbyn. Considering he is sticking to much of Corbyn’s policies, are you sure he’s a Tory with no principles?

Nope but as I said, he doesn't fill me with any hope. Underwhelming doesn't even come close to describing Starmer's office thus far.

Fair enough. In the two or three weeks of that office, how could he have impressed you more? I’m sure there’s something he could have done, but for me it’s a bit early to really judge either way. Can’t have it made out that he’s a Tory or that he has no principles though. It’s just not in line with reality.

Starmer's moment of truth will come when Johnson is gone. Johnson is like Trump in the sense he's a one off, he will always appeal to people who like him and we're seeing right now that there's literally fuck all that can change that fact.

Put someone like Starmer against a Jeremy Hunt or a Michael Gove though and it could be game on.

Johnson is at least as likely as Starmer to lead his party into the next election.

The moment of truth will be after the pandemic is over and the focus turns to the public inquiry. If Starmer doesn’t push hard for an effective independent one then there’s really no point having an official opposition. If he does the Tories and the media will throw everything they’ve got at him and it’ll be a completely different ball game to the polite civilised discussion he’s promoting now.

Not such an independent investigation then. Three of the four are Labour peers. Wilcox retweeted Laura Kuenssberg quoting Iain McNicol celebrating the departure of Corbyn.

This isn’t going to end well is it.
