Can you show me what I’ve said against socialism and socialist policies? It should be easy enough as you’ve come to the conclusion that I (a socialist, who has spend many years on here espousing socialist views) hate socialism. Not just that but I hate it more that the Tories (when I’ve spent many years posting about how much I hate the Tories).

I think you’re getting mixed up between socialism and Corbyn. It’s perfectly possibly to be a socialist and have a problem with the leadership’s capability to deliver socialism. This isn’t the first time you’ve done this. You’ve called me a right wing nut job, not because I’ve ever posted anything right wing, but because I’ve posted things about Corbyn.

So, about my anti-socialist views that you’re judging this on...

@Gnasher

Why are you dodging this?

Nah, he’s a top lad is Gnasher; he’d never say I hate socialism more than Tories if he didn’t have something to easily show where I posted something other than ‘I’m a socialist and hate the Tories’. He certainly would then just ignore being asked about it. Shrill whitch burner.

Wonder why the coward Gnasher posted only that one and not the other one showing the Tories losing two points. Almost like he’s got an agenda. But yeah, definitely look at just one poll and judge, not the overall trend or the one where it shows records in London. Let’s make sure we ignore the next one out that reflects the stuff in Manchester/North and the school dinners stuff. That’ll be bullshit.

You guys are better at voting for music than talking about politics.

Oh Jeremy Corbyn.

Talking about him like he’s the stature JFK instead of Michael Foot is crazy. Are we going to be able to move on some time soon? We do love to shoot ourselves in the, erm, foot.

Yet you talk about Michael Foot with the same derogatory sneer as a columnist from the daily mail.

I always find it strange when political commentators re write history to make socialism and socialists unpopular, its almost as if being disingenuous hides an ulterior motive.

Foot was ahead of Thatcher in the polls until the Falklands war. Foot also had the handicap of the newly formed Lib Dems and a baying press to contend with. As Thatchers poll ratings were stuck well under 30% it's a fair bet that without the war and right wing labour traitors (recurring act) the people of this country would have voted in Foot as our prime minister.

The overall impression looking at that would be of Labour making inroads while the Tories were implicit in 40k or so deaths but Labour support flatliining for the past 5 months while the country is in the biggest crisis since WW2 and under the least competent government I have ever seen in my life.

I said it in the other thread, but there is a chunk of the English making up about 40% of these UK wide polls who will vote for the conservative party no matter what and that is basically not going to go away until some of the baby boomer start dying off* say 2030ish**. If Cummings, Johnson and Patel came to their door coughed covid on their "nana", smeered their shit on the geraniums and pissed in the Fluffy's dog bowl they would still vote for them.

'Listen I know nan died of the Covid that Dominic gave her and the geraniums and dog have never been the same since, but what were they supposed to do? They didn't know those things could be harmful, they couldn't see the pandemic coming and they are going to give us our country back'.

Labour could be lead by Jesus Christ with the greatest PR team in history around him and the press would spend the entire time going 'look at the state of his sandals. he says he can feed all of the children in one fell swoop, but can we really trust a man who wouldn't kill the entire planet through a nuclear apocalypse?'

* We'll see how they pandemic and Brexit economic effects work out, but I think the polls indicate this, managed kleptocracy at this point

** I do worry that the levels of immigration caused by climate change will result in a Citizen Britain type mentality by this point so they'll still be hanging around like the rancid smell of a burst sewage pipe

Yes, the overall impression should be that he took over from Corbyn in the 20s and put them back in contention. His own personal ratings are higher than any leader since the last leader to win an election. The electorate still don’t trust Labour. Coming off the back of such a devastating loss will take time to repair and rebuild. He has a long way to go, but pretending he’s doing shit, which is what I was replying to, is wide of the mark.

It does make me wonder how Corbyn or RLB would be doing now. Starmer has a lot to do in the coming months, but we can’t pretend he hasn’t started well enough. The progress is slow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a swing in popularity go from 20+ point deficit to a significant lead after an election, so for him to get a lead is obvious going to take a while. Then, as soon as that happens the Tories will replace Johnson and the bounce will be big. All this is nonsense until closer to the election anyway.

The thing with Starmer is a lot of the changes he's made or is making are under the surface.

The press operation is far slicker in terms of things like message discipline, not committing to uncosted policies and stuff that's aimed at trying to wrest back credibility in the public eye.

The press office under Corbyn for example was about three times bigger, shite, fixated with twitter and comprised mainly of people who were there because of who they knew or how loyal they were to the leadership than how good they were at the job.

No doubt RLB could outdo Starmer in terms of tweeting fume at government decisions, but that's not a longterm strategy for rebuilding a party as an electoral force.

I’m someone you just lied about again, you fucking dickhead. Then you wouldn’t answer the posts, you fucking coward. You know why you wouldn’t? Because you’re a coward.

You really are a first class fuvking lemon. Judging by the way you are getting rattled on a football message board cannot be good for your mental health. The way you've reacted to innocuous posts with another poster on this thread in the he past few days is at best strange and at worse pyscotic. Isnt their some sort of help number you can ring?

Who leads a political party is not near the top of my concerns at the moment . Anyway I'm off to finish my twelfth oil based painting of Jeremy Corbyn.
