I do, but it's important because Jack the Sipper's post for example deliverately blurs the lines to essentially dismiss everyone on the left who joined/rejoined the party because they finally saw some hope. People young and old, people from all backgrounds, some new to politics some rejuvenating their interest.

The number of people who identify with the actual far left and spend their days either asking stupid questions in council meetings, or writing dimwitted drivel on Twitter, make up a tiny percentage of that number. And it's offensive to suggest otherwise (I'm not suggesting you are, Stig).

Far from deliberately blurring the lines, I made an explicit distinction and description of who I was talking about when asked to clarify by @Vincent Vega. If you can't (or choose not to) distinguish between someone with democratic socialist values who wants to see a fairer society for all and a card-carrying member of, for example, the Communist Party (who supported Corbyn), that's on you, not me.

If you think that anti-democratic far-left types of the kind I described above (and I'll add the Trotskyites from the Socialist Workers Party to that list - another grouping that declared its support for Corbyn and its intention to infiltrate Labour) belong in the Labour Party, then we definitely don't agree.

If you think these people on the far-left becoming associated with Labour are anything other than an electoral liability, then again, I disagree.

If you think that the people I'm talking about numbers 27, then I've got news for you.

And, if you think that helping the poor is better served by a too-moderate Labour Party being in perpetual opposition whilst the Tories take the piss out of them, then we're on different fucking planets.

I got called a Ukip supporter above by @sir roger for posting that I would be happy to see the far-left (as I described them) gone from the Labour Party. That's where we are now with some people. Black and white. You're with me all the way or you're a fascist/racist/right-wing cunt. It's this kind of simplistic, no nuance attitude that fucks me off as much as anything, and does its bit to keep Labour out of power. I'm actually a lifelong Labour supporter, who backed and supported Corbyn in both elections, as my posts on here during his leadership will show. And now I'm, backing and supporting Starmer. Do I think he's perfect? Far from it. I didn't think Corbyn was either, but I'm certain that we'd be in a much better place right now with either of them leading a Labour government.

It's a crying shame that some people (throughout the Labour Party) that claim to care about the poor and a fairer society seem to care more about ideological purity and agenda settling.

These are some of the hard left/ Commie/far left/Cunty types who Rachel Reeves said do not share Labour values,

Glad we got rid of the far left terrorists, the Labour party is so much better without these types in it, dunno why we clapped em.

Can Labour also get rid of them other fucking Bolshi bastards the railway workers whilst they're at it? And them Muslims, they don't share Labour values any more, and all the other cheeky cunts like the staff at Heathrow and while we are at it everyone from the far far hard left Unite union under that awful woman who sticks up for them dreadful workers can take their subs and stick em where the sun don't shine.

I think some people on here see 'Left' as being some middle point between the far-left (or hard-left) and the centre-left (or soft-left). It isn't, it's anything from the centre out to the extreme left. It's a catch all term for, well, the left. It's muddied by those considering it an insult to be called far-left. It isn't an insult. It's just where the views sit on the political spectrum. I mean, are those wanting to take back the utilities with zero compensation and lock up the shareholders honestly 'soft-left' or 'centre-left'. Pah, it's whatever. You can't convince many posters on here of anything. After all, I'm a right-winger as my last two entries to this thread show.

Who's speaking up for these victims, the people dead through benefit cuts?

Or should the Labour party not bother?

Can I add my Yes vote to the "Should Therese Coffey get in the sea?" question?

She's a twat, a vile evil twat!

She is indeed but where is the opposition? Rachel Reeves is  probably not that far away from her disdain for people on benefits. We've had a poster on this thread today saying Jeremy Corbyn should be retire and be silent. Troubling times.

Who in political circles/parliament is speaking for these people? People are dead though government benefit cuts, this winter thousands upon thousands will also needlessly die through starvation and cold . That's a fact and that's where we are at.

Be silent? Can you stop lying. I literally said he should keep fighting for the oppressed you fucking muppet.

I said he should step down as an MP for the best for the Labour party. I'm not all in on the Labour party but they are the best hope of getting the tories out.

It is indeed native Welsh but the only cunt in this conversation is you.

Nah, you're definitely a massive prick. A chippy little fucker who does lots of arguing but no thinking. You're calling people on here all sorts of names, every day practically. Chill the fuck out and realise this won't change anything, posting hundreds of links day after day after day after day, month after month, year after year isn't actually achieving anything at all. Have a beer and wait for it to blow over or actually do something that impacts the situation. Or don't. I don't care.

Oooohhh, you bastard. I've been successfully avoiding thinking about that shit.

Deserves a negging to be fair. Rules are rules. I'm no doubt about to be called a cunt and offered out in a pub local to me so a negging will be fine.
